This matching numbers 1979 truck was restored in 1995 with 47,000 miles on it by Cool Cruisers of Texas (note the stainless steel fasteners) and shipped to a Lake vacation Cabin in Minnesota where it was lightly used for grocery/pizza runs in the summer (11,000 miles in 16 years) and kept in a heated garage the rest of the time. It currently resides in a garage and is taken out regularly (weather permitting, of course). What you will not find on this truck is any Rhino Liner to hide repairs… You won’t find “strengthening” diamondplate aluminum panels anywhere on this...

This land cruiser was first owned by a doctor in Naples florida and came with dealer installed ac. The truck was purchased by the second owner in Naples where he stored it in a garage for a number of years and still has under 60k original miles. In 2004 the truck got a "frame up" restoration, was gone through mechanically(mechanical work done by licensed mechanics) and cosmetically (body work done at a hotrod shop). In 2006 the truck was moved to Vermont and was only driven with the top off during the summers. The truck is currently in a garage at my parents in upstate New York.

Cliff notes: This needs to go, $4,500 obo without the engine or trans (add $2,000 for the engine and trans). It's in pieces, but 97-99% complete. I have 2 FJ40s. One is a 1975 (completely disassembled but all there) and one is a 1980 that I currently drive a couple times per week. The PO of the 1980 that I drive needs some attention. Mainly the suspension and steering need to be the area of focus with body work being second. It currently has a SOA that is not done correctly. Ideally, I would put a long arm suspension on it but would be happy with a safely setup SOA or stock SUA. I am open to working out a deal for labor and/or parts in trade for the 1975 FJ that I have. I live outside of Detroit but I'm from the Lansing area. So, if anyone is around those areas, PM me and maybe we can work something out.

From the Frame up this is a 1972 FJ40. The Tub, Top and Doors are straight and rust free (some very light surface rust). Custom Heavy Duty Bumpers (front and rear) Warn XD 9000 winch. Set of VDO gauges.
The drive train is GM. Most of the pieces are there (parts I know are missing are the front seats and speedometer cluster). Includes 700R4 transmission, and T200 transfer case. Have all glass (including sliders for the rear side windows), and manuals in PDF form.
This is a Project Vehicle and will require an "over the wheels" trailer (available at United Rentals) to move it.
