Hello everyone. Just wanted to post an ad for my 40. Asking 14k? Has 193k miles. Original engine was replaced 20 years ago with a used Japanese unit from SOR. Has 4 folders of receipts going back to the 80s. Very well maintained and reliable. I've owned it for 5 years. Minor rust on rear sill corners. Drivers floor has a couple of rust holes. Pretty rust free everywhere else. Was purchased new in Santa Fe and spent most of its life in California around Napa and San Francisco. Very good driver quality and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country. Please email for more info and pics.

This has been my daily driver since 2012. It's a Costa Rica import. I have it registered and titled in California. 110,000 Miles.
Currently having a new wiring harness installed.

Regrettably we're selling our 1973 FJ40, it's gotten a lot of love over the years and been built up enough to be a real rock crawler if you want, or just a great functional trail rig. LOTS of upgrades, 1 ton running gear, includes an inventory of parts. We have a soft top on it now, and a hard top that needs paint, but has all the parts including two PERFECT doors that are already primed. We would prefer to sell it all together, but will consider just selling the truck and hard top separately.

78 with lots of tub rust. Fiberglass tub comes with the deal. We think the tub is a reworked Mallotte, but strengthened and louvers and kick vent panels were added. Comes with windshield frame and glass. Cheap pair of fenders get thrown in with the deal.
Lots of spares from a donor 78 including 4 speed transmission.
Engine ran good and the truck drove well. This truck needs a motivated owner, and I don't have the time.

Remains of the motor, both axles (front discs), steering components, tires/wheels, transmission, transfer case, tub, hood, front grille, fenders are all there. Tub is in -excellent- condition. Rhino lined inside and out. Tires are BFG AT 33x10.50 R15 on some sort of aluminum wheels. Includes the title if you'd like to build it as a buggy or something less Toyota. Tires all hold air, but they are from 2005. Cracking on the sidewalls and such. Tons of tread, so best for a spare.
The top, doors front and rear, windshield frame, seats, and lights are all gone.
I'd like my garage back. $1600 for all.

I have For Sale an almost 100% original 83 FJ40.
I purchased this Cruiser a few years back from the original owner, this truck has NEVER been off road. When I bought it, it had white wall tires on the original chrome rally wheels. I put some 31's with new white spokes on it along with a new front bumper with a Warn 8274 winch. I still have the 5 stock wheels with whitewalls and the spare with the original factory Bridgestone tire along with the factory front bumper.
The truck is in original non molested condition and has very little rust, mostly on the back corners and floor, no holes or anything just some normal FJ40 rust, it also has a few scratches, this is the original paint from 1983. The truck has not been driven in winter for the...

I have been looking for an FJ40 for a while now. I passed on a really good one here locally that I am kicking myself for. CL has been dry for the past few months, so I figure maybe an add up here might bring someone out of the wood work.
I don't have a large budget, I'd like to be in the $4-6k area. At this price I figure minor rust (rear sill, rear quarters, but not something that can't wait 1-2 years for replacement), running, and either stock F/2F or V8 conversion. I prefer a 4 speed, but would do a 3 speed. Late 70's is good, but I have nothing against the 60's an early 70's either.
