This is my truck. I have six Landcruisers right now. I purchased this from the Southeast Mo Landcruiser guy on FB two years ago. I have too many projects. 1971 fj40 New Jersey $6500
Hey I have a 1971 fj40 I am thinking about selling. It’s in good shape no bondo or repairs so rust you see is what it has. Clean Virginia title. It runs and drives sometimes can be hard to start the carb needs rebuild and has an exhaust leak. Has a bad spot on the drivers side floor and a small finger hole in the rear floor. The fiberglass top broke so I had a another one sitting in top to keep out of the weather. You can drive the truck on to a trailer. Brakes work too but definitely needs work but clutch fluid leaks. I will get more pictures of it soon. Bought from family who had it since new and barley drove it so I assume it the odometer is true 46,000 I believe. I didn’t want to sell but I don’t have the time to fix it up right...
1978 fj40 New Jersey $4000
I have a 1978 fj40 I got a couple months back. It has a good frame but obviously body needs work front floor pans and what you can see in the picture. I had it running with gas down the carb and it sounded good. I am thinking it could have 66,000 original miles but you never know. I don’t have a title for it but I have a cowl from a 78 that is factory yellow too with tags I would sell to you ask messages me for questions. I was looking to get 4000 with other cowl or 3500 without. All there expect the rear jump seats I used them for my fj40. Also gas tank was taken out bc it had a hole in it. Don’t have time to fix it up or else I would. Thank you
Napa, CA 1967 FJ40
I inherited this 1967 FJ40 from my brother who was an off-road enthusiast when he died four years ago. It has a Chevy 350 with four speed manual transmission. I had the transfer case, clutch, alternator and a bunch of other stuff professionally replaced. I then had the body restored and painted by a local shop It has a working Warn winch and belt-driven air compressor (this is not hooked up). The SBC runs great. The suspension (Old Man Emu) and other parts are highly modified from a stock FJ40 so this Landcruiser is set up for someone who wants to enjoy it off-road as opposed to a daily around town driver. $28,000.
Golden, CO: 1979 BJ40 Body-off Restoration

The seats are covered in Sunbrella fabric and the odometer is new (along with the rebuilt engine). Prior to the restoration the vehicle had about 140000km on it. There's no bondo anywhere on the...
Gents, Not a lot of action on this 40 for sale on BaT. Can you give me some perspective as to why? I bid $20k just to start things off but it’s been almost a week and there just isn’t a lot of buzz or interest. I know someone may be playing it slow and quiet until the last moment. Can you guys weigh in and inform us of any glaring issues or anything that may help me make an informed bid? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-toyota-land-cruiser-fj40-76/ Pell
For Sale 1976 FJ40/The Goblin $42k OBO
You can also find the build thread here: SOLD - 1976 FJ40 the [green] Goblin - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/1976-fj40-the-green-goblin.1201733/ I've added a 2.5" OME lift, shocks, OME wheels that were stretched to fit 35's as well as a new set of 35x12.5x15. I added a 4x4SPod aux power system, Baja Designs LP6 lights (2), cruiser crap console, JBL Bass Pro Go (it's a sub-woofer in the truck and you can remove it to be a bluetooth speaker). The only mechanical mod I made was a new fuel pump and it was relocated in the gas tank. I'm selling because I had visions of my whole family cruising our ranch and to kids' games in town with the top off etc. There just isn't enough room for us, unfortunately. I'm a real estate guy so offers...
1972 Toyota Fj40
This is curious.....NOT my vehicle. Found the same rig on Facebook and Craigslist......scammer I presume? $12,500 or $24,950, pick your price.... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/788950265833397/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A6ad360f3-d5ec-471d-b6b4-46f5eaaa0930 https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/los-angeles-1972-toyota-landcruiser/7461211323.html
1968 FJ40 in Colorado with TONS of parts $5500
So the background on this FJ40 was that it was in perfect running order 10 years ago. Was a daily driver. Motor had only 2000 miles on it and the FJ was wrecked. Avoiding a deer on the road it went nose first into a ditch. Front frame horn is bent, but doesnt need a full frame replacement IMHO. Although I do have a full frame and extra set of axles that goes with it. This is the last of my FJ40s so Id like to sell it along with a LARGE pile of parts. Heaters, air cleaners, front grills, doors, headliners, headlight bezels, hubcaps, driveshafts, axles, you name it and its probably in the pile. No, I dont want to sell the parts seperately. Id like to just sell the whole lot. This vehicle runs and drives. Could wheel it now, or work on...
1969 FJ40 Missouri
SOLD ! I have a 1969 40 that I’m not going to ever get around to restoring. I’ve had it since 2012. Acquired it as parts rig, but decided it was too complete. Has the F engine which was locked up when I got it. Three on the tree and vacuum transfer case. Dash is uncut. Rear sill is toast, but overall still some solid sheet metal. Some PO had cut some rust out of front fenders. All glass intact, I have the corner pieces too. Frame appears solid with no rust through areas. The fiberglass hardtop is held on by a couple of bolts, that’s why it looks odd. This is ready for someone else to restore. Solid start in my opinion. Asking $5,000. Clear Colorado title in hand.
NE Ohio 1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
Howdy folks...I'm placing my daily driver for sale. I drive this truck year 'round and it has truly been very reliable and enjoyable to me. Anyone who knows these trucks recognizes they are simplistic and give the meaning to utilitarian. This truck is no different. It requires a lot of patience and finesse. It drives city street speeds just fine. After all it is 43 years old. The manufacture date January 1979. This is a mostly complete, modestly modified, factory original US spec truck with matching engine production number, frame and VIN numbers. However, this truck is a PROJECT vehicle. It will require a lot of work to be anything close to stock and safety. For anyone who is interested in buying this truck I will provide as much...
1981 BJ 42
Going to try to update this with some of the questions I’ve been getting in DMs. I kinda forgot I’d posted her on here, but this is the only place it’s listed at the moment. Former Canadian vehicle. I imported it around 2011/2012. South Dakota Titled. Was 24v, converted to to 12. Factory 3B, 4 speed. Mileage is unknown for sure, but I was told somewhere just over 200k kilometers when I bought it. I drove it home from Kitimat, BC. From that time it’s been between Montana, South Dakota and Utah numerous times. I’ve put maybe 6,000 miles on it with not a hiccup. EVERYTHING works, No aftermarket modifications Final note would be that it wouldn’t be a “numbers matching” 1981. IIRC, The body was sourced from a dry climate (desert...
1965 FJ40 in Atlanta, GA, Dealer Swap 327 V8
Currently located in Atlanta, GA as of July 2020, I am selling my 1966 FJ40. It has been an Arizona car most of its life, bought new with a 327 V8 swap completed by the dealer. This is a one-owner Arizona title car with no accidents or bodywork. I believe the color is Coronado Beige. The patina has been sealed with a layer of clear coat. The interior was recently updated and the car is driving well. Tires were recently replaced as well. It is titled as a '66, but was produced in June 1965. I am asking $20,500. I have the car nearby and can add additional photos or video as necessary. Also, I am aware that the bezel in these photos needs to be flipped. Upgrades: 1968 roll bar New holly 4 barrel carburetor New tires New brakes and...
SoCal: 1975 Toyota FJ40 w/SBC
Back in September, I got a new job in my home state of Minnesota working as an engineer for Polaris. When planning our move back, I decided that buying a house for my new wife and I was more important than holding on to my FJ40. After lots of thought, I decided to leave the FJ40 out with one of my buddies in California with the intent to sell the FJ there instead of paying to move it back to Minnesota with me. Fast forward 6 months, and I am finally getting around to putting together the for-sale post. Quick Specs: Price: $17,000 Year: 1975 Make: Toyota Model: FJ40 Color: Blue (original: Mustard Yellow) Engine: Small Block Chevy 350 Transmission: Original 4 speed (H42) Brakes: FJ60 disk front, stock drum rears Tires: 35" BFG Mud...
Idyllwild 1969 FJ40 - Red
Not mine and no affiliation - $20k - "IF" this checks out as good as the pictures seem to represent, this would be a fun 40 at a decent price. "This is a great functioning daily driver! The Restoration was done in the late 90s with a small block Chevy 350 and 700r4 automatic transmission. Great combination of power and transmission. Cruises at 80mph on the highway with great off-road ability. I’m flexible on the price just wanted to start somewhere I’m seeing buckets of crap go for more than this. Give me a call make me an offer let’s talk." https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/idyllwild-1969-fj40-land-cruiser/7450771691.html

1970 FJ40, located Southern Idaho
Meet Opal, she is a 08/1970 FJ40. I have had this rig for about 15 years. the motor was rebuilt just before I got it. I love this girl but she needs an owner that can show her off and give her the attention she deserves. She has been sitting a lot of that time, I drive her in the warmer weather. She runs great and is fun to drive, she is Capri Blue and has beautiful patina. She is almost all original. I had seats reupholstered to baby blue. I have a set of newly made rear jumpseats, still in the box. Has hard top and doors. I have a bikini top for her, used one summer. Original inline 6 motor, 3 speed on the column manual transmission. 2 gas tanks. New tires and new spare. New brake booster and master cylinder, and clutch slave...
Pittsburgh PA/Youngstown OH 1969 FJ40 with title (orig. from Texas) + 1977, 1978 (parts trucks)
1969 (pre-emissions) FJ-40, hardtop (have hard doors as well), with title. Was originally from west Texas, so mostly surface rust. Drivers floor pan and rocker panel have worst rust (& need replaced). Last I checked, these parts were avail aftermarket and inexpensive (from "Cool Cruisers of Texas," -I believe). Frame is good, though it has surface rust. Was running fine in the past, but currently not running. Engine is not locked up though. Comes with very rusty 77 and 78 parts trucks (77 & 78 mainly consisting of engine and drive train -everything goes together). The 78 also ran previously (has the 2-F engine, 4-speed trans & front disc brakes), but the 77 I have never had running. These have been sitting inside a building. Use the...
