Anyone have interior dash trim pieces in anything other than woodgrain?

Thanx to some thug with a gun, I need to replace a piece of woodgrain trim on my shifter console

CDan put me in touch with the original supplier that Toyo used back in the day, but they only have complete kits, so I'm looking into all of the different options they have :meh:

Does anyone here have anything other than the standard woodgrain trim?

I see they have different shades/types of woodgrain as well as aluminum pieces :hhmm:

Here's a link to their site (search for vehicle to see available trims)

Superior Dash

Also, if anyone has any other company suggestions, please post up.

Kevlar might be good.;)

That's funny right thare!!

huh. Those aren't bad prices.

I think you should go with the sunflower yellow.

The brushed aluminum might be a nice departure from the norm...but then I'd rather spend $300 on something more functional for my 80....as my budget does not include esthetics just yet.......

I have carbon fiber on my dash...looks pretty awesom ....let me know if you want some pics!!!??

Won'let me upload??!!

I'm trying to upload those pics for you.....but this site won't let me??? Any ideas why it won't???:meh:

Probably low post count. I think that limits what can be posted. :frown:
Hang in there.

Huntir install a program called shrink pic, it has worked great for me since I have installed. I ordered a complete kit off ebay. It is the brushed aluminum style. Still waiting for it to get here, is taking quite a while actually. I paid something like 120 for it. Once I get it I will definately post up some pictures and detail of the quality.

Thanks I'll try the shrink pic....and I had better get posting!

OK, here's another question....

This is the part I'm looking to replace:

CDan had mentioned that this piece behind my camera knob was not considered OEM and that I probably had an aftermarket kit :hhmm:

However, when I checked the 97 brochure, it has this piece and looks identical to mine

The kit from Superior Dash does not include this piece and when I contacted them, they said they were the original supplier for Toyota, but they were regional :bang:

Anyone know which company made the kit pictured in the brochure?

I ripped off all my woodgrain to hopefully have the nice black underneath. Sadly, someone prior to me had scrapped the dash horribly. So I ordered a black dash set from these guys:

CARiD.com - Car Accessories, Truck Accessories

Cost me about half of what Superior Dash wants. It has come (but I haven't had time to put in on) and looks good in the box. It is all 3M adhesive so I am happy about that. Now just to get it on!

Let me know how it turns out :)

My biggest concern with these kits is the fitment around the factory switches :meh:

I've seen some cheaper kits that fit over the switches and don't have any room to remove them unless you tear the trim off :bang:

Also, some of these kits come with more pieces that others :hhmm:

Here are a few diagrams I found online:

The Superior kit lacks the one piece I actually need

The rest of the kits have it, but Sherwood and Tyt-13 kits don't have the T-Case trim :meh:

god I forgot how bad it looked.

My sisters 80 had the kit just like yours and I just tore it off last weekend. I can ask her if she has thrown away the pieces yet but idk if you would be interested. Her 80 is trashed.

I am looking at a yellow carbon fiber kit i just got in mail once i find camera ill post pics

Both my LX's have the full woodgrain similar to yours. Not sure if it'll fit up with your center console, but maybe find an LX being parted out and nab the center console and shifter console. Everything else should fit up.
