Yup. Claiming this setup doesn't have Ackermann just because it moves the mounting points higher up in the Z axis is complete baloney
Give me dimensions and Ill scratch something up, but I think its exaggerated because it would be harder to see in proper lengths and scales. It would be interesting to see the above drawn in the correct proportions for an 80.
That sketch has too short a wheel base for the track width. It exaggerates the ackerman angle, and how much offset would be required on steering arms if located forward of the axle
Pretty sure Ruffstuff took over the production and sales of the Hellfire knuckles used for highsteer. What ever happened to these? Dont see them on FROR's site.
These aren't hellfiresPretty sure Ruffstuff took over the production and sales of the Hellfire knuckles used for highsteer.
Ok. My point is if these aren't available the ones from Ruffstuff are. These aren't hellfires
You must have sent your knuckles in to FROR to be machined so they would accept the keyed steering arms???I haven’t used FROR knuckles but have used their keyed arms.
Pretty nice for sure and keyed is always best.
Cheers

I just got my knuckles in, has anybody used these with tundra or 5th gen 4runner brakes?. I’m curious how much better they’d be with a T100 master over stock
With larger volume calipers you will need a larger diameter (volume) MC. Why the high steer for you personally. Have you experienced loads of bad events with the stock set up or are you just keeping up with the Jone’s ?I just got my knuckles in, has anybody used these with tundra or 5th gen 4runner brakes?. It’s got a lot of pros, largerish trunion bearing, arms that won’t wiggle loose (dumb guy proof), and it’ll give me room to land links. The way 4wheel underground sets of their 3 link is dumb unless you want a tall frame height. With larger volume calipers you will need a larger diameter (volume) MC. I think @jcardona1 has, maybe look in his epic build thread
