Lets see if I can get all of the jumbled thoughts and plans laid out in a sensible order:

Replace the oil pan and valve cover gaskets
Perform the oil-galley plug repair
Install the SmittyBilt center console
Install the WagonGear and Firestik cb / am-fm antennae combo
Purchase and install a CB (either in the dash pocket or the above new console)
Mount the new 9k Harbor-Freight winch on the bull-bar
Make all new battery cables and cables for said winch
Mount the IPF driving lights onto the bar
Purchase and mount a decent set of fog lamps
Finish rust repair and encapsulation on the rear portion of the frame
Fabricate and mount the rear bumper kit I bought from Fourrunner
Fabricate the spare tire swing-out for said bumper
At-home paint job and de-chrome
Have Line-x spray below the lower body line, wheel wells and inner rockers
Run it until the wheels fall off, put em back on and run it some more

Maybe list:
Fabricate fender protection off of the bull-bar
make some sliders or buy the set from Hardline Fabrication in Chesnee

:crybaby: Why is his list that he will accomplish in one year so much better than mine:crybaby: Would take me 2-3 years to get that far in my build!!:bang:

5 speed H55
FST w/ bows
Half doors
T-case rebuild
FF rear axle

I have to amend this...

Lift
Tires
Bumper
Engine Stuff (ACC is gonna do this for me)

Im lucky that my grandfather took such good care of it and that my destructive brother only had it for a few years and that with only 101k, all it really needed was a lift and a darn good cleaning. According to my postage scale at work, i vacumed 5 lbs of sand out of the carpet when I gutted it.

Mostly I am motivated to get this finished before the kid arrives in August and I will have no time!

or money my friend!!! Or money....

My list is so long, I don't know where to start.
I am collecting steel and parts, though.
Lift (already have)
35" tires (have)
front and rear bumpers
winch (have)
sliders
skid plate
radiator (have)
P/S input shaft seal
hoses (have)
there's more, also but that should keep me busy this year.
Plus I have 2 more cruisers (Scott's) to keep running along with my other cars.

60
Finish tune up with new valve cover gasket and plugs
Desmog
Find a way to lock glove box
Replace shocks

40
Put new carb on
Rattle can paint job
Power steering

Fj40
Install the Metal Tech family cage I've had for over a year.
Paint the dual runner intake manifold and install it on BG
Paint my door and hard top
Install the new body mounts
Install the rear bench seat and make a couple slideout storage trays under it.
Wire all the rock lights back up
Replace the hyper shackles in the rear
install the arb locker up front
Install the Newfields in the front axle
Install the heat exchanger for the shower
Cut off and install new trailer hitch
get the blinkers to work
try not to die in the process

FZJ80
install the new kickdown cable

I didn't accomplish anything on my list this year. And the whole trying not to die thing I only managed to put off to another year.

fj40

diesel swap...looks like the 4bd1t won't fit...the cummins 4bt wont' rev enough...the 6.2 is too big...looks like the om617.9xx turbo is the way to go.

going for 25+mpg. will be keeping an eye out at the LKQ for 300D's since they engine is not worth the $800 bucks the guy on Craigslist is wanting for them....it also explains why he has not sold them.

finish the front axle swap

build custom sliders since the blowing of the front passenger tire bent up the OEM running board

paint her

I just want 1 day off to get my 80 to dohcdelsol93 for the front end rebuild then off to RHT for the egr, vsv modulators.

After That PHH then maybe enjoy it for a while till something else comes up

Looks like I get to reseal and possibly replace some CV boots, woohoo!

New things:
Rear Pinion Seal
Install rear locker

Alot of the stuff on there has been put on the backburner. Nothing that is in need of being done, but would still like to do it down the road.

Haven't really done squat. Did clean the garage and got rid of a bunch of stuff. i did get a good price on an oem antenna mast the other day.

Anyone else?

I am going to build a stock GX470 to full trail worthiness in 11/12.

Still on track. Winch, bumper, and snorkel go on in Feb.

Dan, your humming along quite nicely. I can't wait to see your rig in person. I test drove a 04 GX470 a while ago and it was it was nice.

Short term goals:
[STRIKE]swap in a new CV axle, for the spare I'm currently running
finish welding on new alignment tabs
finish replumbing the air compressor system
finish wiring the air horns[/STRIKE]
sand and paint the primered dings/chips
run bigger gauge wire to my fridge, eliminate the cig plug [well that one bit me on the ass. I tracked down a 3.5a fuse soldered to the main board and will probably wind up taking to someone really good at soldering. If I melt the main board, I'm really screwed.]
Probably time to replace front wheel bearings too.

Long term goals:
replace my trans/tcase skid with thicker, but smaller area of steel
add kickouts to my sliders
dual battery
3-link the rear

buy 30ft sailboat
sell fj40
live on said sailboat

not really...but would be cool.
