Stole this from ONSC.

What's on your list to do on your cruiser for the rest of this year and next?

For my 62:

install sliders and rear bumper
Desmog
new tre's
new O2 sensors
new exhaust
redo the front end alignment to get rid of toe in
rear main seal
new rear drum's
probably alot of other stuff that i can't remember i need to do

Main reason for this thread is that we can use this to schedule HAMOM's. If we can get enough people doing the same thing, we can have a super hamom, similiar the front axle rebuilds we do. Plus, people who've already done alot of these jobs can help with some advice to those who are about to tackle them.

Yeah, let's get a rear main HAMOM together.:o

I have a few spots in my tub want to cut out and replace with new metal. A few 12 inch by 12 inch or so areas.

I also want to rhino line my interior.

TRE's are a must, god only knows when the last time those were replaced

I got my hands on either a sm420 or 465 i want to get installed in the cruiser.

I also want to do a front disk conversion as well as knuckle rebuild.

and John Lee...at this point...i'm a freaking wiz at brake drums.

Had to go through all 4 of mine.

I had some good success making over stock shackles for my 40. Really wouldn't be hard to make more at a meet if someone has a porta ban/band saw and some sharp drill bits

If some one can weld worth a crap it would be possibl to make some H shaped ones.

Pig
Front axle rebuild
Front ARB locker

FJC
Metal-tech sliders
Metal-tech front bumper
Metal-tech rear bumper
New storage in rear
TRAC cut off
Rear locker/ATRAC hack
Raise rear locker and axle breathers
Skids

I'm still eventually wanting to get some anti inversion shackles from you....when i have the extra cash laying around!

Before i invested 300 bucks in shackles i wanted to make sure that the constant inversion i had was caused by shackles being too short and not because of a wicked attempt at a PO's instillation of ford shock towers in the front and possibly re arched springs.

Now i not only know that longer shackles took care of the issue but i also know how long i need them to be over stock!

Okay I'll play....

FJ45LV
finish frame off nut and bolt restoration :grinpimp:

FZJ80

modest goals right :D

Paint the dual runner intake manifold and install it on BG
Paint my door and hard top

Install the rear bench seat and make a couple slideout storage trays under it.
Wire all the rock lights back up
Replace the hyper shackles in the rear
install the arb locker up front
Install the Newfields in the front axle
Install the heat exchanger for the shower
Cut off and install new trailer hitch
get the blinkers to work
try not to die in the process

FZJ80
install the new kickdown cable

I wouldn't mind being around to help out with the cage and ARB install.

Shouldn't my name be beside "Repair dent(s) from GSMTR? :hillbilly:

I currently have access to Metal-tech (placed a big order today due to ship next week) and Iron Pig Off Road. I know MT doesn't carry 60/62 sliders, IPOR might have some designs made up they could fab.

One thing to think about with sliders. Manufacturers can often provide better tube than you can purchase at lower prices already in kit form. Take MT cages for example - their tubing has a 20-30% elasticity where as regular 'ole DOM has around 9-11%. This more than doubles to triples the price of tube so MT has their tube made just for them. What that means is the tube can flex more before it cracks and breaks. This is important on the first roll but very important on a second roll.

TrailGear has some decent deals on sliders. Wonder if I should carry their products??? :D Whatchall think?

Marshall - do we still own a bender?

From what i remember, there was a decent amount of people that wanted to do a slider HAMOM.

I think the club does. The club has tried several times to do a bending HAMOM but it hasn't played out so far. I'm game though - I don't need sliders but I'd be happy to help out.
