Not local but brought a smile to my face ... first murdered-out 200 I've seen so far, looked nicely built, capable, and aggressive

New to the south Charlotte neighborhood, spotted this 40 this AM. I like the stance/height on this one, curious how much lift he has. I didn't have a card with me but plan to introduce myself and come with a card next time.

I just saw this one today near the Shell on Carmel. Probably parked in the same spot where you saw it.

Saw a well build 100 yesterday on the island of 15-501 in Chapel Hill near Manning Drive as what appeared to be an emergency vehicle (at least it looked like it during a double take going by at 40mph). Custom bumpers had high visibility flashing lights. Anyone here?

That's @jrmudder84. Common sight in the area. He used to rock a custom orange 80 kitted out the same.

Beautiful Grey 62 at the QT in Gaffney, SC this morning at 8 am. Looked like driver was a tall, dashing looking bearded fellow!

Right after I snapped this, two very good looking women came out of a store and hopped into this rig.

Wife spotted a land cruiser that looked like a jeep at teeter on Glenwood. Said 77 on it, asked if it was a 40 and she said it was newer and was a convertible cruiser. Sounds like s 70 series is in the area.

Maybe @chrisspaulding ?

Some of his units have VT plates but i thought his 73 was a soft top

That is @chrisspaulding in his 1HD-T repowered 73. Watched him a lot at the last 70 series meetup

The Midwood collision center had this 60 outside for a long time after being in an accident. It disappeared for a month or two and this is why.

New paint, new OME, bunch of new OEM stuff

Plus he has a take out Vortec he's getting ready to swap in.

Did the 4" intake help EGTs?
No, but it it did help with airflow. When I initially drilled and tapped the exhaust manifold, I drilled a littler higher than I should have. The temp probe was hitting and resting on some metal inside of the manifold. The manifold was holding heat and the probe was not getting an accurate exhaust temp reading. I just installed a 1/8 npt male-female adapter to space the probe back. It worked. Getting much lower temps on full acceleration.

That'll do it every time. I sometimes wonder if I am getting a bit of that when things get hot as backing off the smoke pedal does not show as fast a reduction in egt as I would expect.
