If it fits with a standard spare...33 should be the same as the tank is above the crossmember. Your spares sidewall will stop on that cross member. This is what I have gathered from the thread.

alternative air tank mounting option

Hopefully people have also looked at the other OBA threads in the 80's forum. An excellent one to check out is this: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/208201-project-onboard-air-york-compressor.html

If you are possibly thinking about an auxiliary fuel tank in the future, you should consider a different location for the air tank then where the OEM spare tire goes. A 2.5g "hot dog" tank fits nicely between the frame rail and slider, as these photos show:

I already have a York bracket from past dealings. But for anyone thinking about doing this but afraid to pull the trigger I recommend you do it. To me it's worth every penny. The York 210 puts out 10.3 cubic inches per revolution. At 2000 rpms that's 11.9 cfm. Try finding a 12v compressor that will do that. Yorks are easy to get also. They can be found in tons of older vehicles. If anyone is having problems getting hands on one let me know and I'll hit up some junk yards.

Has anyone received their bracket yet? I paid on April 8 and have not heard anything yet. Last two PM's have not been answered.

I got a PM a few days ago confirming my shipping address. I think these are going out FedEx. I'm not worried.......

Not answering on behalf of, but posting my last correspondence as effort to placate the restless.

As of 4/19, was notified that Tim would be headed through Tulsa on the way to Moab on 4/20.

I'm assuming still there, which is probably the reason for lack of communication.

Received mine.

Good!

For the bracket...
I recommend just starting the furthest bolt to the front then the furthest one to the back...leave them loose and start the other two bolts then snug it down, then mount compressor to bracket, install pulley...FYI...you do not have to remove fan shroud to do this...slip the belt on and your set!

Post a pic when you get it on there...

I send stuff back to CA and it takes like two weeks or longer. Sending from CA to South o' the boarder takes 3 days. Ain't that some crap. Guess CA Post actually does there job of delivering the mail. Even via UPS or FedEx. Makes no sense. That may be your hold up

Are these still available?

Well, I should have looked closer before typing. I have a 94 with some smog junk in the way.

Mine is a '93 model and had that stuff as well. It just unbolts from the head.

At this time, we don't have any plans to produce these again. Quite a lot of work to manufacture and source all of the parts, and neither of us have much time right now...
Thanks
