What can I expect to get out of a set of five stock steel wheels that I have cleaned up and painted white and clear coated. There are four caps, bet there are only good enough for drivers.

FWIW, new disc brake rims from the dealer are about $85 each with a TLCA discount. So maybe $50 each, but I've paid as low as $25 each for rims that need to be redone.

These are the ones with the tabs for the caps. Not the spoke wheels. How can I tell what year they are or fit. I think they are 5.5x 15

They will have a date stamped on the rim where the wheel weights go. I bought 5 Disc wheels for $50 with tires on so that cost another $4@ to remove.

Ok. found the width and date.

In the center of the rim, on the outside [the part covered by the tire]there will either be rivets holding on the center section or not. Non rivet rims are disc brake compatible, making them slightly more valuable.

Most people looking for stock wheels are also thinking about factory grey color, so the $$ and time you put into the while paint probably wont count for much.

Best

These are the same ones you can get new from the dealer for $85. They come in black primer ready for paint. Like Mark said, most people are going to want to sand blast them and paint them dark grey. The blast will cost around $25 per wheel. You should be happy with getting around $150 for the set.

A full set of disk brake compatible steel wheels with hubcap clips was for sale at the Rising Sun Rally in August for $35. and they had good tires on them.

I have lots of paint. I'll go ahead and shoot them gray.
Whats the name of proper color gray?

Search and you'll find that there's no concrete answer as to what the "correct" gray for the wheels is.

I sprayed mine with DP50LF and simply clear coated that. It came out real nice, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I would be quite pleased to find a set of disc brake stock wheels for those prices anywhere near Dallas..of course in grey rather than white.
