I'm not running an LS or V8 swap nor a carburetor. Where does this come in?

i mentioned that the 151 was mated to an LS3 only because the team running it were having no issues with that trans handling the power of the V8. Likely the turbo 1fz could be in similar power numbers and sourcing a 151 that bolts up could make the install a little easier. I know there is one bell housing available for the H55 to the 1fz but it was pricy. And I’m sure you can make your own adapter kit.

honestly if you were to make an adapter kit for the h55 to the 1fz that allowed for a 2f/3f bell housing to work there might be a small market. I’ve looked at that setup andgo round and round on cost comparison. Cost of a used 151 shipped from Australia vs buying a new h55 and the bell housing.

sorry not implying that he is. my point is simple. A 151 will handle the power and bolt right up and be one less headache. But if the fit of the 151 is a problem then I can totally understand the use of the 55 and either way I look forward to the end result.
 
Doesn’t @scottryana run a Haltec Elite on his turbo 80?

This was a little bit ago but figured I’d post. All of these pieces were just sitting in boxes in the back of my 60 for years getting no love. Had a break in project timing so the brand new ACC carpets went in and the new dash cap went in.

The truck is already starting to look so much better.

what transfer case are they running behind the 151?
 
Toyota single din wired up and all speakers replaced. Don’t judge, I had to hunt down a cassette. 🤔

Got a link to that single din unit? That looks great! Good album too, I’m getting a list together of about 10 must have albums and going to try to find them on cassette. Looks like I’ll need to find my #2 pencil too in case my “rewind<<“ ever craps out
 
The past year has kicked my ass. Between moving to another state, the fires, my wife’s horrible health ordeal and other nonsense…I’ve decided to sell the 60. Unfortunately the medical bills are preventing Wits’ End from moving forward. I have a few vehicles and right now I think it’s best to let the 60 go to someone else who would be able to enjoy it more than I will.

I have a bunch of stuff I want to do to it to make it as complete as possible for the next owner. Sure it’ll cost me more to do so but whatever, It’ll just make my asking price climb😜

I’ll be posting the status and what I’ve been doing to it before it gets handed to the new owner. Whoever that winds up being.
 
The missing valance for my #FJ60 came in and it arrived with the headlight washers. Yay! For the uninitiated, the headlight washers on the 60 has its own washer reservoir but it operated by the same windshield washer button, but…only comes on when the headlights are on. Slick.

Got everything hooked up but only one side showed up for the party 🤔
