Clutch fork was installed catty whompass. Pulled trans and reset correctly. Clutch now does not disengage. went to FAQ section on clutch plate installation ad according to the pics i should be good to go. Tall part of plate facing engine/flywheel and letters out towards trans. befuddled....

clutch...... is clutching..... beer 30

We'll need to get it out and go for breakfast sometime soon.

I hope so!!

Last night i got it to go.... tonight im trying to get it to STOP> New break setup is not cooperating. Cant get a firm peddle.... bled MC and front disks.... still mushy....

Make sure the rear brakes are adjusted properly.

issues i've had doing the conversion you did on the brakes were that the pedal ratio was different for stock non boosted thus I swapped firewalls and pedals. Not an easy thing at all to do..they can be adjusted correctly just takes more time.
other thing to look at are the flex lines swelling inside. they get old and mushy. wasn't sure if you had replaced those at the same time. my $.02.. I prefer to stop than to go..

Thanks guys. adjusted rear breaks till they drag. Lines are good, visually. 2 pumps and the peddle is very firm.... let it rest for 5 seconds and it hits the floor. Ive bled it about 5 times... rear cylinders are functioning and pads are very good. Im going to bleed them one more time.... I that does not work i will isolate the rears by capping the MC at the rear break line... I have a cap for emergencies... I want to see if i can get a firm peddle up front... Couple more beers and i will have it!! damnit.... :-)

got it.

There is a weeeee rod that protrudes through the break booster. After pumping 16 gallons of break fluid through the system i finally got to looking at the mechanical stuff. I called POSER and we walked through a couple scenarios. He told me to adjust weeee rod until it makes contact with MC.. I did that, and sure as shootin the peddle came to life... Pa Pa Paooower breaks rock... took the tractor for a spin around the hood and tested it out.... good stuff... were going to make the muffler Dr appointment Friday!!

Big thanks Mr Poser... and LAME, and Mrs Shregg..... shes a peddle pumpin freak!

New seats in. off to the muffler man....
new seats.webp

And we have our first driver in the reconditioned 45..

I sent it up to get the exhaust done and the exhaust guys could not get it running. The carb i had rebuilt had some issues. Turns out the new float did not float. I jumped through some hoops and called in a couple of favors to no avail.

Roy came with a crappy old carter carb... The linkage was farmer rigged with brackets springs and bailing wire. I did not want that under the hood anymore. So like most of us i took a day and thunk on it. I placed the old carter on the manifold and started thinkin boot how to make it work.... and i did.... Still ran like crap so i re set the points and distributor. distributor was way off not allowing me to get any advance timing. Pulled it...set it with maximum adjustment without interference.... cranked it over and ran out of gas!!

After i got back from the gas station it fired back up.... set the timing and it purred.... knocked though... :-) Pulled dist, lined up oil pump this time and reset.....

Wala..... she runs better than the yellow 40 now... exhaust is perfect.... drives fantastic with new front axles parts and steering parts.. Stops on a dime! Overall it drives 1000 times better....

Cant wait for more fall cruising in Roy...

Thanks for all of your support...

Thumbs up!
