what is the size screw for the pre-tapped OEM holes (11) that go across the top of the fj40 windshield frame? I bought a Tiger channel for my SOR family top and the screws are too thin as they're made for a Jeep likely. Thanks!

Anybody?

What year windshield frame do you have? Do all 11 holes have nuts welded behind the hole? My 71 has 7 factory holes with threaded nuts. Mine are M6x1.0.

Yup. Seven holes. M6x1.0. I found it out in the Advance Auto parking lot. Thx.

Reviving an old thread but can someone provide the length and head type? Or better yet a OEM part number if still available. I’m getting ready to put my real steel bows on. Thanks

Toyota lists currently:

93315-16014 - Qty 2
91611-G0612 - Qty 5

-16014 is a JIS philips head
-G0612 is a hex, your call on what you use.

Both should be M6x1.0 as the -G0612 is the supercession from the original 91611-40612 part number.....which is a Tensile strength 4, M6 and 12mm length screw.

Another option which I prefer (but would need to verify flat washer clears is 91651-40612, which is a hex head, captured lock/flat washer in a 12mm length.

Check the bolt p/n's above the rail. I see a quantity of two of one p/n and five of the other. Maybe this might help. Sorry about pic quality, from ancient fiche tech.

So I just ordered the one of the one you prefer. I’ll be the guinea pig and let you know if it clears are not.
Also a side note I’m planning on selling that one Mud Hog tire I have. The 35 isn’t going to clear the garage with a top on it.

If you don’t require OEM hardware I like these JIS flange head bolts for the windshield channel.
