Will i have to remove the running boards completely or trim a little?

Waiting on my snorkel and 3 inch ironman foam cell coil over setup to get here. It'll be a few weeks since the snorkel is coming from Australia. Still undecided on the tire but I am going to put a 33 on the factory wheel for the time being until I can decide on a wheel. In the mean time...should I go ahead and take the running boards off or is the trail going to do it for me? It'll be the toy on the weekends but the wife has already laid claim to driving it during the week. I still want to keep it easy for her to get in and out of. Any happy medium you think?

Sliders that also have a step built into them is about the only happy medium I can think of.

I would think that 33s on the stock wheel is going to have a lot of rub without spacers.

Yeah. I've got spacers as well for the factory wheels

I rub like crazy with factory wheels and 285s, but new wheels are on the list, plus I am taking the swaybar off. It really isnt all that bad

you will have to remove running boards to clear 33s and also trim the inner front fender liner and possibly the insides of the front bumper sides

I did a body chop on Lexy, got 33's and a 2.5 ICON inch lift . No rubbing anymore. In stock form with 33's and running boards it rubbed bad.

Was it drivable on road? I'm looking at 255/80R17's and an Icon lift, but was thinking about doing tires before the lift - wondering if it would survive (without running boards) or if I should hold off and do it all at once. I won't run it offroad until I have a lift and likely sliders as well.

I would say do it all at once, when you turn into a parking lot your going to get allot of rubbing.

k. Are you guys adjusting bumpstops when you install lift/tires? I imagine if it's rubbing stock, it'll rub lifted & compressed.

It's going to rub when you turn not up and down, so more likely rub on body mount and running board area. I got lucky and I didn't have to body mount chop by adding some forward caster
