This may happen to others so I'm posting up my experience. I did a pad/disc replacement on the rear on Dec 2023, and had to redo just the driver side couple of days ago. I was getting metal on metal grinding noises so I tore in and found the culprit. The pass rear was wearing normally, still have maybe 25% of pad life left but the driver rear was beyond gone. Turned out that when I replaced the seals on the driver rear caliper, I didn't seat the piston dust cover properly. So, the piston didn't retract all the way and ate through everything. This was an expensive booboo :bang: . The pads were EBC Greenstuff, and the rotor was NAPA Premium.
