Went out to Coldstream Canyon today, did some light rivers, and really thanked god I had those MT Sliders:

The trail is in Truckee, CA. The Lake Tahoe area has plenty of trails just like this.
The specific trail is called "Coldstream Canyon."

Thanks. I was wondering how long it would be before someone made a fro or blue oyster cult type comment. :grinpimp:

Here are a couple of pics from the 6700km four week expedition I just came back from.

The first is of the storm that came across and rained us in for two days on a sheep station while spectating at the ARB Warn 4x4 Outback Challenge.

The second pic is on the way out after the storm. 4hrs to travel 60kms on a main dirt road.

This pic is from one of the night transport stages at the OBC. Even with the MT/Rs aired down to 18psi and the locker engaged we were slipping and sliding everywhere.

The biggest sand dune in the Simpson is known as "Big Red". It takes a fair bit to get over it, especially when you are fully loaded with all your expedition gear. It took me about eight attempts before I managed to crest it. I had to let the tyres down to about 14psi and got a big run up. It only just did it. My mates in the Shorty GQ Patrol couldn't get over it. They took the bypass track around it.

While we were trying to get over a couple KTMs came along and had a bit of a play on the steeper sections of the dune. They made it look too easy. (now I want one:rolleyes:)
