I've been thinking about de-flaring mine! How was it taking them off?
2 hours of work, loosen front bumper corners and remove front corner light and rear inside 1/4 panel trim. All mud flaps also.

Then it’s all 6mm fasteners.

What's funny is that all of the mud I've shoveled off of my driveway after a cleaning gets dumped in a depression in the back yard, and the most amazing plants grow out of it! It's some of the most fertile soil around, for these parts, anyway.

I dig it out as potting soil for my wife's plants, too.

Agreed. All of the holes left behind are kind of a pain, but you never know what you may find...

Someone previously attempted a repair job on my HDJ81. So much debris caked underneath too.

A Saturday morning once a year would make it a good preventative measure imop
