I got pulled over on mauldin rd by a g'ville county cop.

I knew i wasn't speeding, with my drum brakes I NEVER ride less than 5 car links behind the next vehicle unless i'm going less than 25mph and even then i give plenty of space.

When he comes to the car he says i have no brake lights. I knew i had brake lights that morning because used the brake lights to back out since i don't have reverse lights on the early 40.

I told him i had done some work to the heater at lunch time and probably just unplugged a wire by accident.

I had to wait until he ran my license/insurance/registration before he'd let me crawl under my dash and re connect the wire i pulled loose.

Wasn't the most pleasant person i've ever dealt with but i was glad to get out without a ticket!!!

I'm wating for Scott to get pulled since he got that 1972 liscense plate...It's legal,but...

i absolutley hate getting pulled over.

back in my teens i always had hair down to my shoulders and wore really baggy clothes.

I also lived right next to a small town that pulled anyone going over 2mph over the speed limit.

We were always getting pulled over and searched.

Now i do my best to avoid cops at all costs.

Even though we never got caught with anything it still sucked getting pulled out of the car and searched time and time again especially in freezing winter weather.

I used to get messed with for no reason growing up. Mt pleasant cops aren't allowed to do real law enforcement so all the did was screw with teen agers. Should have seen their faces when they asked to search my car and I told them no. Think there still doing the same stuff now.

Alpharetta cops like to follow you for no reason. The don't stop you because they have to do paperwork, but they hunt school zones like birds of prey...3 miles over and you are getting a ticket.

one of the few times i got pulled over and was actually doing something wrong i was near Ashville.

We were street tuning my del sol (made 300hp at the wheels that day)

We were doing 3rd gear VTEC pulls from about 40mph to 70mph.

The speed limit on the highways up there were 70 mph.

We were pulling off of every exit ramp and then merging back on the highway to do the pulls as to not interfere with traffic.

After about the 5th pull the tuner asked me to pull over for another one and that was about the time i noticed a Ford expedition unmarked behind me.

I knew i was getting pulled so i turned off the exit.

He comes over and asks how fast i was going. I told him i was in 3rd gear coming off the on ramp so i couldn't have been going more than 70 but i honestly didn't know because i was paying more attention to the road and tach than the speedo.
My tuner says "worst reply ever" as the cop goes back to run my drivers license info (he didn't even ask for insurance or registration)

He comes back to the car and asks us to get out.

He asks several times if there are any weapons or drugs at the car. He could easily see the lap top, ostrich and multiple wide ban O2 sensors with wires going everywhere from a torn apart ECU in the passenger floor board/tuners lap.

He asked me what i was doing in ashville and i told him getting some tunning done. He asks why i didn't just do that in greenville and i explained to him that Joseph Davis was the best tuner around.

Joseph Davis didn't help matters much. If he doesn't eat/take his meds he gets a little figity and the cop tought he was nervous.

The cop asks what he had in his pockets (he was wearing baggy pants) and he said "honestly officer i have no idea"

The cop searches him and finds 2 spark plugs, a spark plug gapper, and a money clip then gives him a hard time about not having his license on him. I explained that he was working, tuning my car and was not going to be doing any driving as he had to work the computer/programming.

About that time another NC state trooper pulls up and i'm thinking i'm getting impounded.

He asks what i had done to the car, i told him a few bolt ons.

He then tells us to keep the car on the track and lets us go with no written warning.

We finished the rest of the tune on a dyno.

I would say nothing you did there was wrong unless you were truly speeding.

i was not speeding

but my acceleration was pretty crazy

300hp and 275 ftlbs of torque at 7800 rpms in a 2400lbs car was quick.

I never got a 0-60 time in her but 6.0 GTO's were no competition going from light to light.

and neither was a really cocky middle aged guy with an M3

I just remembered I got pulled over in my 40 the year I drove it doen to the boil....I am trying to remember the name of the podunk town it was.....it was like 2 miles over.....they were bored for sure

Not a 40 but the 62...

I was driving home from a socuting event and decided to get back to fort mill through clover for the first time in a decade. Every country road around there is 55 until you get into town where its 35. Drove through town and got on 321 towards gastonia. 4 lane hwy with a median and I was about 2 miles outside of downtown clover by this time and back up to about 50mph. Got pulled. "Do you know how fast you were going?" he asked. "Yes sir. About 50." "It's still 35 here son. You got about another 1/2 a mile before it gets back to 55."

Seriously? I got an $80 ticket. Downtown Clover is about 12' diameter. I'm 2 miles away on a 4 lane hwy and its still 35. Whatevs...

You also got pulled going through Marietta in your 62 when you were giving me a ride home from Alan's a year or two ago.

I rolled my 55 into a ditch and had a conversation with the fire department about how to get it out. Tow truck righted it, got her ready to go, cranked it, threw her in 4L and backed out of the ditch. Told the cop to not worry and drove home.
