Anyone running these? If so, please share impressions. I guess they work with funky factory exhaust routing, somehow.

I emailed them about that very thing! They said that you have to notch one of the mounts/arms on the drivers side to get the u bolt to fit right. They even sent me the installation instructions. I’ll see if I can post them up here...

It’s just some screen shots, but I hope i helps those who are curious!

Update: I ordered a set on Cybermonday. I figured it was the only time these things would have any kind of discount.
All I really wanted was some side steps for loading the roof rack, and these fit the bill. From the encounters I have had with their products at the powder coating shop where I work, these seemed the go to for me. I did not order the DOM material.
WKOR offered to change the angle of the round tubing by 10 degrees to make a bit more step. I accepted.
They are supposed to arrive on Monday. If anyone is curious, I can post up impressions/thoughts as they progress from dry fit, trimming of bracketry, powder coat, install, and use.
Let me know.
Merry New Year to all! Here’s to Cruise’n another year!

I can't speak to their fit / finish specific to 62s but the ones I had on my 60 were very impressive! For bolt-ons (perfect for my application), they were incredibly sturdy and very well made. Thoughtful design and quality material! I don't think you will be disappointed.

I got a set of WKOR sliders many moons ago for my 62. Simple to install, but yes you have to notch one of the brackets to get them installed (not too difficult). Haven't really tested them as rock sliders, but mostly as steps to get in and out, and access the roof/rack. The rear swing out is especially convenient for those getting into the back seat.

If you have little kids, I'd recommend the diamond top plate whole or half so the kiddies don't accidentally twist their ankle if their feet slip.

there's pictures of my install on pg 19 of WKOR's website.

Did the drivers side dry fit first. My forward cat mount was not being used, so it was removed.
The rear cat mount needed the notch cut. I was happy to only break off one bolt!
I will be needing new cat/tailpipe hanger-rubber thingies.

The passenger side took a bit more time to get the spacers in place, and lots of crud in the eyes. Had to “tune” the vacuum line bracket for the transfer case a bit in order to reach all the bolt heads. But, after all the spacers were in, with new bolts provided with the sliders, it was smooth.

Monday I’ll take them to the shop for powder coat.
I think these will work GREAT!

I’m not going to mention all the things that I noticed under the truck that could use attention while doing this today...sheesh. I think all my heat shield landed in my face!

Underside looks pretty good to me. What'd you see? That heat shield-if it's the one I'm thinking of, mine rotted away a couple years ago.

Heat shields, I should probably replace the hard and soft lines for the rear heater, found a ground from the starter to the front pass frame rail that I should remove and clean, the suspicions of my small oil leak now include the oil cooler, as well as the side cover gasket. Let’s see, what else...knuckle seal in the future, saw evidence that the new u bolts (from the flip kit) ends are making contact with something during extreme articulation on the drivers side, rear “C” channel frame stiffener project will need to be done. Know what I mean?

This has me wondering if the p.o. of my 62 had the ones on my truck installed correct my front mud flaps are missing thought it may have been because of the sliders same company you got yours from hmmm

Very nice, I wish I’d been able to go this route on my 60, Mine are custom built DOM and welded on , I have WK sliders on my 100 and love the quality

Any particular reason for going with the Mil-Spec route?
Great question!
#1: In my current collection of powder coated stuff, I don’t have anything with the MIL-SPEC treatment to observe over the long term. I’ve been working at the powder coating shop for over 10 years, and have been watching different things, in different environments over time to get a real experience on the longevity of the pigments and finish we provide. (New Mexico sun is quite powerful!). Now I can watch how this finish performs over the long term.
#2: The stars aligned for the timing, and the jobs in the shop for this one!
#3: The sliders will be down near the wet road, and the MIL-SPEC is also one of the toughest recommended finishes by powder manufacturers currently, for both corrosion resistance and color longevity. I want to test it!
