Stevinson Toyota of Lakewood Co, looks they’re still there. As far as I know, this cruiser stayed in Co for most/all of its life, still is as of now. Funny how many Colorado tags there are in this thread.

yes, I know the tailgates trashed, dont remind meView attachment 2523859
They definitely are. They’re the meetup spot for Rising Sun, the Toyota club and have a cherry 40 in the showroom.

Just saw this thread, so here is what I know about my 10/84 60.
According to the Warranty Booklet, it was purchased in Guam from the dealer Atkins Kroll,. Inc.

Haven't done any real research, but dealer still exists. Toyota vin search doesn't go back far enough to help. I think I will contact the dealer and see if they have any info that they will share.

Up in the mountains of northern New Mexico they salt the roads heavily in the winter, that's why my '84 FJ60 (sold recently) has rust issues.

no kidding, I thought I was getting a good deal when I bought mine out of Tempe AZ. Turned out it was bought from American Toyota and spent it’s life in NM and consequently the rear quarters are gone and rust is an ever present issue. But that was 16 years ago and I wanted it bad.

The lift gate of my '71 FJ40 still has the American Toyota decal on it, but I don't believe the dealership was around back then. Somewhere along the line it was sold there as a used vehicle.

I guess it's from the Tahoe area. Original owner was Trimont Land Company.

Mine had a long, storied life, being bought by the original owner from an unknown dealership brand new in Bremerton, WA in '85. He kept the thing for years, until it went to his nephew, in Bremerton, WA. Somewhere in there, it got some dents and then mostly ignored maintenance for at least 10 years before I bought it, then drove it all of 20 miles to Vashon, WA, where it spent 6 of the last ten years, with some time in Bellingham, WA, when I went and finished my undergrad, and then it finally moved to a new state (not counting trips, obviously) for the first time after 34 years when I moved out to the Palouse for grad school last fall.

It was also definitely sometimes-home to a bored dog for a good chunk of time before I owned it, judging by the hair embedded in the carpet under the back seat, and the bite marks on the shifter knob :D

I almost feel a little bad putting the new knob in with the H55, but there's a reason I say 'almost.' Dang thing's real shiny.

I have the original sales docs for mine - sold to a Farm in Armidale, New South Wales, Australia.
Not sure how many owners it went through, but when we got it in Perth, Western Australia it appeared to be set up as a long range truck escort (Pilot) vehicle.
Last 10 years (more or less) has been in my driveway.
About 4000km (2500 miles) from original home.
Roughly 550000km or 342000 miles on the clock.

My '82 FJ60 was originally purchased from Len Sheridan Toyota in Santa Monica, California. Truck was built in November of 1981 sold in April of 1982.

Inspired by @EscapeWagon62, I did some digging to find out where my 62 came from. Coincidentally, from the same dealer as his! Which led me to eBay, and eventually this. Cleaned it up, polished it, and used some 3M double sided tape to stick it on. It's the little things.

1990 FJ62 purchased by the original owner at Martin Toyota in Colonial Heights, VA, just south of Richmond. He owned it for 27 years then sold it to the PO in Richmond who owned it for 3 years. Now she’s with me in Richmond. This baby has lived in a 20 mile radius for the last 30 years.

Wow-Colonial Heights. My grandparents lived in Ettrick and I’d visit them every summer.
