alright, I'm done searching. I took apart the actuator and know that I need a new motor. Can anyone point me in the direction to buy JUST the motor? The motors are cheap, I just need to know where to find them and exactly which one works. Amazon and eBay have some, but I'm not sure about the speed on them. Anyone???

Look for Akella on this site.

I ended up buying a rear hatch motor with a little linkage off Cruiser Yard. Is there a cheaper route? Can you just buy a motor? I googled around with the Aisin number on the motor with no luck.

I need the motor inside the actuator. That site is for whole parts. And I don't think they even have the whole actuator.

And thanks everyone else. I've contacted three people on this site that other people told me could be helpful, but still waiting to hear from them.

I don't mind being the guinea pig and buying a couple of the cheap motors I've found to see if I can make them work, but I was hoping someone had already done the leg work and could save me the hassle.

Door lock motor failure-confirmed

Try this thread. Be sure to buy the ones with the long shaft (I think its 20 mm)

Yeah, I saw that one, and then I saw that he had to use JB weld to stick the worm gear on. I was gonna go this route if I couldn't find the same motor. And you are correct, the long shaft is what we have.

Same place you find a spare tire lowering tool

Bump to see if anyone has a solution before I take a stab in the dark and start buying motors and hoping I can get them to work. I've messaged all the people that have been suggested and gotten no responses.

Are you looking for a door lock actuator? If you are you can buy them from a Auto Sound/Car Alarm store for really cheap. They will also sell hatch actuators.

No, I want the little motor INSIDE the actuator. New OEM actuator=$50-100 or something, but new motor cost $6 if you can find the right one. I know I can put aftermarket ones in for cheap, but I wanted to avoid hacking stuff up if I could help it. Rebuilding the actuator is really easy if you just need a motor and can find one.

Quick side note for those working an actuator problem. Thought I had a bad motor until I got the actuator apart and found that the small actuator arm was cracked. A small drop of JB weld to secure the arm to the post and all was good. Re-lubed the whole mechanism and reinstalled. Good thing to check before assuming a bad motor or buying a whole new actuator

Bump

Does anyone have the part numbers and or links for actuator motors, new factory actuators or aisin/after market?

I see on aisins website they only offer rear left & right.

Driver's door is out.

Thanks Mud

I have some extra motors from my repairs, I threw them up on the site
