Hey Guys,
I have been working on my cruser all year and now I am trying to get the brakes put together. Every year my family goes up in the mountains to cut down our Christmas tree. I would really love to take my cruiser and show up everyone else in the snow:D but all of my wheel cylinders are too rusted to be rebuilt. Buying all brand new ones is way too far out of my price range so I am wondering if you guys know of anywhere i can get some for cheaper? One of them I was able to rebuild, so I only need 7. Three front and four rear.
Thanks

Nearly all used wheel cylinders are rusted and pitted in the center, but they aren't usually rusted on the sealing surface because the piston retracts fully when not in use. They are more likely to be non-rebuildable due to wear on the sealing surface. Take a close look at them in regard to where the seal rides. I have successfully rebuilt over a thousand rusted wheel cylinders.

Being on a budget and owning a cruiser dont work well together... There's a couple 40's in my area with only front brakes, they seem to get by fine. Just have to plan stops ahead of time ;)

NAPA. Avg $20/cylinder for a pretty good brand (Altrom).
When the rebuild kit is $10 each, this is a no-brainer to me. I just installed these on mine.

X2 - I went the NAPA route... good luck so far.

CCOT has a listing of wheel cylinders, and sells aftermarket and sometimes Toyota OEM....

Check their web page. Even if you don't use them, it's relatively informational.
