Reminds me .. Who Lexis is this?

Is it just me, or does the driver look like a grown-up version of Wayne from The Wonder Years (Kevin’s annoying brother)? :) Honestly did a double-take…

I’ve ordered a Warn Platinum Zeon 12-S. Currently on back order. I’ve got the 10-S on my 60 and it’s been great.

I'm also a Badlands user. For the price it was worth the try, and I've already used it a few times and has paid itself off in my opinion.

You can change any winch from Cable to Synthetic. If your cable winch has been used, make sure you file down any sharp burrs or damage that the cable did to the fairlead or the drum so that you don't damage your new synthetic rope. Also, synthetic line works better with a hawse style (not roller) fairlead. With Synthetic you can use an aluminum fairlead which can save a bit of weight.
A couple of considerations to add if I may. Some older winches with internal drum brakes are at a bit of a risk of crushing with synthetic line. This is due to its propensity to “constrict” around the drum when under heavy loads.

Synthetic line loves to be ran on a quality and functioning roller fairlead. They don’t offer as much clearance as a typical hawse though and are a bit more likely to be damaged.

I’m using the OEM Toyota winch. Works great and has no problems. There is only the wish to have it wireless but thats ok.

About 15 years ago, I paid top dollar for the latest and greatest Warn. 4 years later after riding around on the bumper of my jeep, I went to use it and it had apparently leaked. According to the shop where I bought it the contactor(?) was shot. Point is, winches are not necessarily forever investments. Something like a Badlands at 1/2 or 1/3 the price where the idea of having to replace it is less painful makes sense from my perspective - assuming it fits your bumper or mounting solution of choice.

I need to change my winch rope, any recommendations?
You can buy genuine 12 strand Dyneema inexpensively, and just splice a loop into the end. I bought 100 feet of 3/8" for well under $100, and used a F55 Fast Fid to easily splice a loop (and added some whipping). I got a winch extension and a bridle out of the same hank of rope.

I’m curious to know what winch people are using on their 200 series. Let me know pros or cons about what you have.
Warn Zeon 12S Platinum w a Factor 55 Ultra Hook inside stock bumper on a Trail Taylor hidden mount. My ride is basically brand new so I've only used twice and have zero complaints.

Running the Ironman 12k Monster winch with synthetic line and factor55 lead. No complaints
Same here. Got the winch at the same time I got the Iron man bumper. One of their big sales.

Did using the winch deform your stock bumper at all?
