Can anyone point me in a direction of a good offroading seat, for a 6'2", 235lb guy with lower back issues? I think it is time to upgrade FOO to something more specific than a different car factory seat. Recaro, Corbeau, Pro-Elite, Mastercraft are the brands that I keep hearing people use. Something with 5 point harness would work for future silliness.
Tried out the Corbeau at Flat Nasty this weekend, and liked the lower back area, would like it higher back to it.
Any other brands or thoughts appreciated.

Thanks Jose. I am really liking them over the tubes. Slapped the crud out of those J@@p mirrors over the weekend, and was not able to break them. Very glad I changed those out from stock mirrors. Only issue was the passenger side mirror should have been moved rearward some, as the snorkel and A piller block it partially.

Had one strange thing happen on this ride.... the lower pass side bolt of the front panhard bar backed out. It could not fall out, as the steering link is a few inches in front of it. This gave it some room to walk back and forth, maybe 1/2 each way. Big issue was that the bolt sticking out would limit my steering, as the steering link as you turn gets closer to this bolt.
When I was on a V notch the first night, it likely was the reason I slid off the side, but the real problem it created was the front wheel was stuffed in the fender and must of slid sideways without the panhard. Now, I have long removed the top 3 or 4 bolts in that fender as the tire rubs there quite often. Well, the tire somehow grabbed the inner fender lip and when the axle slid sideways it turned this inner fender lip down and made basically a knife edge for the tire to slice on. Lost a bunch of rubber and have some weird "striping" of cuts around the tire. Never got down to create a leak at least.
For now, I just sledged it up and flat; however, when the portals come, I will likely do the massive clearance fender reduction diet plan.

i used Corbeau in my last rig loved them they make an ultra model that is taller and wider than the standard SS seat. 10 years ago when i got mine i felt they were the most economically priced and quality was great just not as fancy as the other brands which i didn't care about.
took an old co-worker out to tuttle for a run and to his surprise the truck ride out was harder on his back than wheeling all day he was impressed

After wheeling last weekend, and coming down on the center skid plate several times, decided to see if there was any damage. This thing is quarter-inch steel gusseted as much as you can in that space but clearly moved. That little hump behind the drain plug was hitting the hole in the skid plate, ended up cutting it back to the end of that hump.
I know the WRX seats in my rig are not quite to your liking. Admittedly they are a little tight in the thighs. However, they are wonderful on the back, so long as you sit straight up in them like your supposed too. We just got back from Colorado and on the ride back I noticed for the first time I was getting lower back fatigue. I realized that I was hunching forward in my seat slightly and that was causing the problem. If I sit up with my whole back in contact I had no issues. Something to think about anyhow, I think the WRX seats are made by Recaro. If you could find something similar with a lower side bolster that would probably be the ticket. Also, I feel like cloth seats are much more enjoyable on long drives over leather. Even the leather ones in my GS400 aren't nearly as comfortable as the Subaru seats.

Quick update on seats. I am getting closer to a decision on some suspension seats. Thinking PRP Comp, Smittybuilt XRC or Corbeau Baja.
Can't find a local shop that stocks them; however, local 4 wheel parts shop has event this Saturday and manager has both the PRP and Baja in his rig that I can try out.
Considering this an medical investment in a good back.

While working on my sons rig, had a nice weld friendly place to fab up the mounts for the new seats. We also made mounts for my friends Camaro seats, as well as the ones for my sons car that came out of the Honda Prelude. So six sets of seat brackets in the pile ready to powder coat
Those tires look huge
