I have a 2014 LX 570 and was wondering what are some of the better scan gauge for this vehicle. I'm currently looking at these:
  1. Ultragauge MX v1.4
  2. ScanGauge 3
  3. New Edge Insight CTS3
  4. Lufi-xf
I'm interested in a device that I can set alarm for when it reach certain gauge level it will beep or alert me.

Thank you.

I just bought a Scanguage 3 from Spiker with their mount for the pillar and it is awesome. No tax and a discount for buying the bundle. No programming needed other than putting your vehicle info. No codes to have to figure out etc like with Ultragauge, etc.

Just ordered this today.
I tried the 2025 Launch Elite V2.0 but it wasn't what I was looking for. The thing is too big for daily use.

This guy makes a really slick and clean Scangauge 3 mount for the 200.

He’s a supporting vendor here but can’t for life of me think of his username:

@BenCC ?? Is that yours? Price?

Yeah, thats the guy

I’m seriously hoping he expands his 200 product line, his stuff is 👍🏼👍🏼

Gonna beg and plead for 08-12 fog light Baja design pods like he has for the 100

I see the Scangauge 3 can now provide visual and audible alarms. I assume it can be setup for things like coolant temp (to prevent a serious overheating event and subsequent issue with the head gasket) and transmission oil temp (useful when towing, allowing you to back off). I will probably get one of these instead of the Ultragauge MX v1.4, of which the audible alarm was one of its useful features over the older Scangauge 2.

I was tempted to install an in line water temp gauge. This should work well as long as the temp sensor is functioning properly.

Two failures at the same time (coolant system issue + sensor failure) is highly unlikely.

In industrial process design we normally do not consider that when components are independent. In this case I also think this is pretty much bulletproof.

In fact adding a separate sensor and spool with clamps adds a leak point(s). This would notionally make things less reliable.

I have a coolant alarm set on mine. Pretty cool feature. The only annoyance is for whatever reason when you shut the engine off the coolant readings shoot up into the 400s and the alarm goes off. Every time. Very strange. But it's not super loud so I've just gotten used to it.

Mmmm, interesting…

On a different setup (BMW 535d and Bimmerlink allowing you to watch engine parameters) I have been watching my MAP sensor (manifold pressure equivalent to the turbo boost pressure) and it tracks well, between 0 barg at idle to about max 1.4 barg boost (about 20 psi). However upon engine shutdown it drifts up to 0.7 barg for no reason (while actual pressure should be 0 or 0.01 barg).

Looks like the LC200 does something similar and indeed annoying when that triggers the alarm. I guess few things are perfect…

i’m kind of happy to read this post :) I have an ultra gauge and my coolant alarm sounds off when I shut off the engine because it sees 419F for coolant temp. I really thought my ultra gauge was the problem
