Hi All,

Planning for Cruise Moab and other summer trips and want to get a Hi Lift Jack.

What length would be most appropriate for my OME Lifted 100 on 33"-34" tires?

Thanks for the input.

I had this same question, but I wanted to ask possible mounting locations for transporting the hi lift jack. An option that uses the factory roof rack would be nice

I got the 48 so it didnt take up the whole side of my roofrack. I'll probably regret it.

LJ 24, I posted it in farinvails thread, the special mightmounts from slee. It's not as complicated as it seems.

Get the 60 inch one. If in the end, you think it's too long (unlikely), cut off the part you don't like.

The rear of your truck is so flexy, that if you lift it at all, the 48 will be too short, to lift a tire.

see, like I said, I'd regret it. Oh well

Definitely go with the 60. I have only used mine a few times, but every time im pretty close to the top. Better to have more levels then not enough.

I had this exact same question earlier today.....sounds like 60" it is!

Sweet! Thanks for the input. I'll start checking prices for a 60"

I bought the 60", only thing is carrying it. It is a little too long for the Hi-Lift bracket on Slee's rear bumper (wonder if I could change the angle:idea:) it sticks up above the roof line just a little too much for comfort. I use Slee's mighty mounts, and they work great.

Amazon.com has some great deals on the 60 inch jacks with free shipping.

If you bought a 48 or buy a 48 because you want a manageable size carry a nylon strap with you. Loop the strap under the axle and up to the frame. Then when you jack it up you prevent the axle from flexing down.

I have two 48s I'd sell if someone was local. As I'd like to get a couple of 60s. My FJ68 maxes out a 48 just by placing it under the rocker. I only get about 5" of lift. I'm probably going to end up buying 60" bars for them but they are tough to find with reasonable shipping.

Just bought a 60" from Amazon - how did you end up mounting it, any pics?

How high above the roof rack does it stick up? Any pics by chance?

Warning, apparently if you go thru a "no-touch" car wash, you're high lift will get caught on the washing mechanism. Joe@Slee was trying to keep me from removing my AHC when he called and told me he got his LX with a high lift on the back bumper stuck in the car wash. He just dropped it in low and it was all good, but just a warning to you guys.

This was a good thread. I was a little curious myself. Aside from size tho I think hi lift has two-three differant models to chose from. Which model is the preferred model. The all would get the job done I suppose.

I went with, I think, the mid model - the all cast. I believe the x-extreme is their highest rate jack suitable for winching.

This pic is how much it sticks above the roof on Slee's bumper. I was going to try to change the angle of the base on the bumper, but it is welded. I think I will just keep it on the roof and out of the way.

When you said "it sticks above the roof a little" I kind of underestimated that
