I'm hoping it is the Hazard switch relay. My Hazards don't work. (I have a separate turn signal relay which do work.)I'm going to guess "flasher relay".

Just to be clear. The image I have of the cylinder above the clutch pedal is the Hazard relay? I will swap them to see what happens.,Swap the flasher from the turn signals over and see what happens.
And you really should scrape all that blistered paint off your floorboards![]()
By process of elimination, if your turn signals flash, and that unit does not, it is not the turn signal flasher. The only other cylinder of that type on a ‘67 is the hazard flasher. The blistered paint removal is on the to-do list. Brake master cylinder work resulted in a bit of fluid spill. OK, more than a bit!

Thanks for the comfirmation. I have just pulled the hazard relay . The part numbers are still visiable. IIRC the turn signal flasher is next to the inspection lamp plug on the passenger side of the front heater.

I am underimpressed with the 12H04 and have considered trying a simple aftermarket one. But I haven’t because I’m a little lazy, and with 4 Landcruisers, there always seem to be higher priorities elsewhere.

Agreed on the 12H04. A steel case Echlin 2 prong flasher (I think Napa sells them Stateside) fits either in the OEM clamp or you can gut the round OEM housing and hide it in there. Modern flashers hidden inside OEM cases fix all flasher ground/resistance gremlins immediately without further fault tracing.The round ones are obsolete Jerry. That is a very good point…and a very obscure one John. Thanks for bringing that up.When I bought my 68 the wiring for the lighting was a mess. I managed to get everything working except the hazard lights. A few years later I was working on cleaning the cowl vent and found a fuse in the wiring harness right under the vent. Replaced the fuse and hazard light have worked ever since. Now if 71 still had the fuse is fuzzy. I stripped the wiring harnesses out of a 71 which I think still has the fuse. Still have that harness in box somewhere. Fuzzy in mind because pulled the harness back in the late 1980s as a possible replacement for my 68 if ever needed.
