Living in the Past
SILVER Star
When I couldn't get the hazards working I went to the local dealer who quoted me a price I couldn't afford to get to a fuse hidden up inside the dash to replace. Four screws for the grill and two for the damper is far easier than trying to get at if from underneath. I'm sure the service manager figured he had some dumb kid he could rip off. That is a very good point…and a very obscure one John. Thanks for bringing that up.From time to time I forget about that fuse. Every once in a while your anecdotes have some real gems in them.
And when people research the key words hazard flasher not working, that should come up. Total PITA to get to. But still, abundantly better than not knowing it’s there.
I did dig out the box with the harness. Box is marked 71 harness so remembered that right and still has inline fuse.
I did find the two pieces floor mat of 1/79+ that cover the tub for the fuel tank. Knew I had just couldn't remember where. Made sense since try to keep plastic and rubber inside a conditioned space.
