This photo is of a DS hardtop panel. (its upside down) What is the bracket that is inside the red rectangle? I do not have this on the hardtop panel for my 1980

Seat belt retractor, IIRC.

I welded a mount onto the roll cage years ago for when the top is off and I just leave the retractor there.

My 1980 has the retractors mounted on the OEM rollbar. If that bracket is just spot welded it should be fairly easy to remove I suppose. Always a crap shoot buying body parts.

IIRC the '77 and early '78 hard top sides had that feature, then the retractor mounting was moved to the rollbar.

US market those were standard 1/76 when the three point seat belts started until the start of the 78 model when they moved to the roll bar. If a vent window they're from a 77. Not vent window a 76. Market that did not have a roll bar got them on the hard top sides until the end of the 40 series. Markets like Australia did not get a roll bar and side windows were sliding so side would be the same as the 76 model here.
