What is the largest tire I can fit with no lift?

Running 295/70/18, 34.29" stock wheels. Prior to AHC Sensor lift, I would hit the top of fender liner on only the harshest bump. Full lock I would get rub. After AHC lift I would only get full lock rub in L. No issues at its new normal height. Have not done full articulation yet. You could get better results.
I caught a glimpse of your tires in your headlight photo. Could Yiu post a few pics of your tire / wheel / lx setup?

Question for any mild lift R18 folks -- I'm looking at 295/70R18 and 275/70R18. Mickey Thompson MTZ

OME 1.5 med duty rear coil spring + bilstein 4600 + torsion bar cranked.

Not exactly stock suspension -- wondering if I can pull off the 295/70R18 with my current setup without rubbing?

295/70/R18 will fit without rubbing stock. @Sargy and @Ramathorn15 fit them withoug rubbing

285/75/16

285/65/18
I apologize if this has been answered in several places but I just want to make sure my assumptions are correct and I have a few questions. Please correct me if any of these are wrong.

These sizes are with the stock wheels (+60mm offset), not with different wheels or spacers.

These will work on an LX in neutral.

Can I put my AHC truck in low without it bottoming out on the tires?

Can I drive up to the 9mph or whenever it switched to neutral in low without these rubbing?

I have minimal rubbing in low at full lock and certain extreme angles in N, again at near full lock against the frame. Its not enough to have any concern or risk of damaging anything, including the lugs on the tires.

295/70/18, Small AHC lift, LX 18s

I ran the 285/65R18 KO2 tires for years on the stock wheels, with AHC, on my 06 LX, with no evidence of rubbing, at any height, in any situation.

Upping this old yet very helpful thread. I am able to squeeze is an inquiry now as I have free time.

Falken has released new sizes of their A/T3W, now I have two tire sizes eyeing and was wondering if anyone has used them on stock 16s or 18s rims on a 06LX470 with perfectly functional AHC.
I will be refurbing the wheels on my own (strip off chrome and choose a color from there):

Wheel Spec: 18 x 8 offset +60mm

I made a simple spreadsheet to compare on all specs even the price.

My goal is to put in the biggest (diameter) AT tire I can fit w/o major rubbing that will lead to a body work or major grinding and plastics cutting. I have seen 275/70R18 tires (used on OEM 18" rims) fit w/o any problem and still left some space to clear during full turns. I have also seen the pinch weld hammering mod & heating the fender liner (I am completely fine with that) for those who fitted bigger tires or wide/deep offset rims. I have used BFG KO2s in the past but not on this truck so it's my first time to use Falken ATs, I am in unfamiliar territories now on the accuracy of their tire measurements as advertised vs. actual. I would appreciate any feedback from you if you have first hand experience on these sizes, and if there's any pictures that you can maybe share.

Lastly, will the 295/70R18 or 285/75R18 fit the under carriage spare tire location?

Thanks again,
Paul

I don't think that a nearly 35" tire would come close to fitting in the spare location, even pretty aired down. I like those new tire size options though, I would probably go with the taller narrower one for more sidewall aired down, myself.

Nitto ridge grappler at 285/70/18 might be ur best compromise of those two widely used (275/70/18 -and 295/70/18) sizes for width and height. 33.98 talk

Good suggestion @Pucker5 I'm highly considering this size too (34s). I like the 285 as it is not as wide as the 295s. Taller sidewall is actually my preference I'd like to have more of that than width and 285/75R18 would not fit on the under carriage spare tire location as @4Beast mentioned. Planning also to move the wheels outward the hub by using 1" wheel spacers to get that ideal stance I want so the 285/70R18 is really something I am considering. Do you think the 285/70R18 will fit on the spare tire location?

35's will fit in the spare tire location on 98-02 w/o the tow hitch. Might have to remove the bars above the spare. The '03+ have a different rear crossmember. I don't think it'll make much of a difference but it is different.
