While i patiently await to hear back from rht i am starting to figure out a game plan on parting out the dent. So what is it worth:

Front axle, must be rebuilt. As is from rotor to rotor.
Rear axle
Radiator, Never leaked to my knowledge.

Until i sort out the dune colored cruiser the drivetrain is not up for grabs but one of the two drivetrains will be.:hhmm:

he is rocking 3.73s in those diffs... you can drop those prices by about25% the diffs are essentially paper weights :D sorry Gabe

Case and point I just bought two FJ60 diffs for $100 shipped

That is ok just getting a game plan together that's all. I am flirting with the idea of selling everything and putting in a 350. Probably will not do it though.

yeah i would like to get it running and just enjoy it for a while if i can.

Picked up some springs from scott today. Not sure if they are original or not. has a # stamped on them and a +. Came off a 62.

Trust me keep it simple stick with what you've got....... I have made a career of over complicating cruiser builds and there is nothing down that road but pain, sorrow, and empty pockets :bang:

Jason Lee is who had those springs Gabe, he might know the answer.

Hey I know someone who has a 2H and a H55f to mate it to. Let me know if you want his contact info...

you don't get much more simple than a SBC...they have been put in everything from motorcycles to VW bugs.

I would not mind knowing but got the feeling i could not afford it.

What is simple about taking the stock motor out and installing a motor that wasn't designed for the vehicle?

not sure why everyone finds it so complicated...cruiser heads have been doing it since the 60's.

other than exhaust and drive shafts you can buy/find the componets to do it cheap/used easily.

Id say if you can do all the work yourself you could put a SBC in a rig for 1000-1500.

This would be a carb engine.

best part is once you go SBC you can blow it up and find another engine all day long for less than $500

I think i spent less on my SBC engine than i did on a new alternator and starter for my 2f
