What is a BJ41? (1 Viewer)

It means it has a 2B motor vs the newer 3b. Not particularly rare, just a bit older and somewhat smaller displacement.

Believe the BJ41 and BJ42 overlapped. Think the BJ42 had be around since the 81 model. The location of the Brake/seat belt light and ashtray openning on the dash makes me think this might have been a RHD at one time.

I'd like to see the engine bay to see how bad or good the RH to LH conversion went.

BJ41 was JDM only and had the same motor as the Japanese bus coaster 3.2 diesel NA they were all RHD most had PS and AC and front disc as std. Here s a picture of mine though it now has a 1HD-FT with a H55F 5 speed and the correct mirrors fitted.

Converting from RHD to LHD the power steering and evaporator inside the cab would not have worked. If it had both and both were removed to do the conversion think it hurt value. I would have attempted the conversion with out a LHD cowl and done mini truck power steering if I had a working pump. If I had a condenser and compressor would have been hard for me remove. Having a one off LHD BJ41 would be cool if it was done right. But any parts that were special in the conversion would not be available new or used.
