Exhaust tip re-do. Before and after pics.

That looks great. Do you like the new tone? I've been thinking about a different exhaust

I got to lash out on the company's dollar on some new ARB goodness. My standard suspension (except for heavy rear springs) has been shot for a few months, but I haven't had time to take it off the road to get replaced. It was getting pretty sketchy on corrugated roads, and I had noticed I was hitting my head more on the tailgate when working from the rear!!

Next to standard GXL at the office

Yes, I am interested in this too.

Muffler delete?

What all did you have them do? Like the new location, that is tucked up nicely.

What other changes to the system?

Yes, I am interested in this too.

They cut off the "silencer" muffler, welded in new 2.5" pipe and added a support hanger. They let me pick the length of the new pipe and the angle of the turn down on the end. When they were welding it, I asked them to tuck the pipe. It really helped to be standing there with them.

No other changes. No changes in exhaust tone.

Might have to look into that. Nice solution for tucking up the pipe and no change to tone.

Though sometimes I wish I could hear the V8 in the LC like I do in my S5.

Ordered custom sliders from white knuckle off road. Just in time for Ouray! Will do a write up and pics once I get them in 4 weeks or so.

Upgraded my OE recovery points with Tundra HD recovery points

Top is LC recovery points and bottom is a Tundra recovery point.

Also finished with the rear ARB install (took waaay too long for the parts to come in)

Even went the extra distance and adapted the OE sensors to the ARB. Man, what a pain! Each sensor had to be rewired.

For a quick change of pace, how about an easy, cheap, makes you feel good project?

You call these Tow Hooks / Tiedowns?

Pretty scrawny by LandCruiser standards, IMHO.

So ... I sourced a pair of Tundra Tow Hooks from BJowett and just had them powder coated red:

Which ones would you like on your truck - OEM on the left and BJowett's Tundra hooks on the right:

I thought so!

Take 4 bolts out, put 4 bolts in and ... voila!

Now that's what I call understated elegance, accomplished in less than 10 minutes, for little money.

Those who care, will notice:

;)
