some sweet rides on that fb page... I like that GTR... didn't see any Cruiser on there.... some really clean looking brake calipers!

The guys with the Mclaren backed it into his Green Porsche GT2 in the garage damaging both cars.
The rear defuser was $5000 for the parts don't know about Porsche.

MS Cruiser. The 458 isn't mine, it's a customer's car.

There are very few Land Cruisers in NY and those I see are never modified and rare driven by men. customizing cars and trucks isn't big in NY. Nothing like California. Exotics are rare. Remember we but the toys away for 4-5 months in the winter.

Thanks to Steve "Gadget" Dopler from URD with some advice I managed to get rid of the front cats without having to unbolt the whole exhaust. Took out out the mid section and hammered a steel rod up at the cats. 200 drives great now no more bogging and no loss of power at high rpms...

I just had to drive it round with no exhaust, pissed off a lot of people though

Does it not throw codes without a cat?

I got the urd O2 simulator but it didn't match up to the connectors on my cruiser. Apparently the gcc 4.6 spec needs the lexus one as it has different plugs drivers vs passenger side while US are same on both sides.

With the O2 sensors unplugged i just get the engine light and 4-lo flashing. No cats and sensor plugged in, nothing so far

No limp mode with the 4lo and engine light on?

Nope. And with the cats out now the gcc spec seems to not give a damn either no warnings, no codes.

I had that last week. One of my vacuum lines was pinched. I found it, corrected it and 4lo, limp mode and power was restored. Mine was an exhaust recycle system that allows the exhaust and engine to heat up faster during cold starts. If that system fails it's a couple thousand dollar replacement. Or some guys unplug it and roll on. No impact on performance just dash lights. Found out about it through a tundra forum.
LC200 has the same system apparently.

Good for you

There's such a difference between specs, on my gxr model no traction control and i think most electronic monitoring/intervention is at a minimum. It would be cool to actually see how much different the cruisers are setup from the factory.

When I'm checking out toyodiy for parts I'll startdoing the reverse search and see what different regions will have the same parts

*just confirmed what i was thinking. We get different shafts from the US spec. After i saw all the complaints and fixes for the driveline clunk, we have it in our cruisers but it isn't considered a "problem" by Toyota and everyone here treats it as something normal with a 200

It rained here.... So i went out to the desert at night and found my favourite thing.... A V-CLEFT!!!

Smacked the bumper straight into it, got stuck for hours of digging and jacking to only move it a couple of inches, then found a tree to winch off of. Got out and.... My bumper hits the fender on every bump.

I'm hoping the bracket isn't bent and i can fix this by replacing the bumper bolts. Will examine the damage in the morning

Powdercoater just just me a teaser shot to see if I approved the colors. Flat bronze and satin black to match the window trim.
What say the mud.

arich - post a pic once you mount these on your rig
thanks

Another teaser, wheels go on Friday just ahead of the storm.
Saw the wheels today for the first time. Awesome textured flat bronze finish. Hard to capture on camera. I bought the TPMS coding machine and the sensors so no more visits to the dealer.
They had a set of tires in stock waiting for a jeep that would certainly rub.

They look great. Can't wait to see them mounted. Those trail grapplers would fit fine with a lift and a little extra. ;) I know that's not your style though; just giving you a hard time.

Post pics as soon as you can.

Beautiful...
Tell me, is that outer ring in TRD rims makes it some sort of beadlock? What's the advantage or its just a styling thing?

I have been looking into aftermarket TPMS solutions too, which one you bought..

Its just for looks. :-(

I'll accept that, but it does look awfully close to a beadlock ring. If they had simply wanted to protect the valve stem, they could have easily designed the wheel to not need the extra complexity and weight of that beauty ring.

Here you go.
TRD forged 17" wheels. Custom powder coated by Proformance Industries in New Rochelle, NY. Wheels were chemically stripped. Centers are flat, textured bronze. Rings are flat black. Center caps are new but we clear coated them for extra protection from corrosion. BF KO2s 275-70-17s. Tires are very quiet. I'm shocked. Cloned tpms sensors. Koni 90 Raid shocks, stock springs so no lift.
The final close up gives a good idea of the texture. The oil dripping is the Corrosion X I soaked the lugs in. Awesome stuff I use on my fishing reels and everything else I need to protect from salt.

That looks great. I would love to see/hear those tires in person.
