There's almost no "buzz" and That's coming off Michelin MS2s which are the quietest tires you can own. There was a Jeep next to me on the highway this morning doing 60 and I could hear HIS tires buzzing. Really quite remarkable. My wife will not complain on our long road trips (which was my biggest fear).
Next I need to install the airbags in rear and the tiny little OEM spacers. An inch lift will be fine for me. (that's not what she said)

I like the look of those rims

It's hard to tell from your photos, but do the new KO2's not have a "Rim Protection" feature on the sidewall that projects over the rim of the valve stem protector ring? Like this on my "old" KO's:

Spent a few relaxing days (sans wife) holed up at my beach house messing about on the "project". Fitted a torque converter lockup kit. I must say it makes a huge difference to the driving experience and makes the already great fuel economy of the TTDs even better - by maybe 10%. While I was at it I finally got around to swapping out all the after-market rocker switches for these AOB switches made to match the 200 OEM push switches, including light bar & driving lights switches - next on my list of mods unless SWMBO puts the kibosh on it :ban:. Don't think she will even know. "But Honey, those lights have always been there. Honest" ;)

Makes for a far tidier 'factory fit' set-out I think.

@Billfish those look great. One question, is the center diff lock button in that location from the factory on your truck? On US Spec trucks it is in the same grouping as the power mirror adjustment? If you relocated it there, did you have to make an extension for the wiring?

Good grief, those stitches look boss. Did you post a link to them earlier in the thread?

Well look what showed up in my garage this morning

Used rock warriors with nearly new 285/70/17 BFG ATs. Decision time. Do I run the ATs or jump to 35s? Leaning toward waiting.

In the meantime, anyone need stock wheels with BFG 275/70/18s with 22k miles? $500 on CL. Make a reasonable offer if interested. Really just needing to clear out the garage!

In north Atlanta.

I think you meant 285/70-17, and go ahead and run them - what have you got to lose?

Hint: try them at 38psi F/R ;)

No problem to swap any of the factory switch locations from side to side as wiring is plenty long enough. Just made sense to group all 3 diff locks and Atrac/VSC switch in same place.. Also because the E-Lockers are such silent runners I prefer that at the locker switches are tucked out of the way somewhat on the inside of the steering column to guard against inadvertent engagement.

Andrew: there was an Ebay link posted somewhere recently. Aironboard.com. Google AOB 200 switch or similar.

Looks great Steenh. You know what I think you should do.

Thanks. I'll look into doing that move myself. I'd rather have the traction controls all in the same area - transfer case, CDL, and ATRAC/VSC.

Willy beamin,

Perhaps I missed it, but did you end painting the outer rings on TRD wheels? Got close up pic?
I did.

Steenh, were those the TRDs that were on the ATL Craigslist for a week or so for $1800?
