Rear Toyota springs.
Rear Bilstein 4600 shocks.
Firestone airbags.

I hope the new Bilstein shocks last over 100k... I never want to do that job again. Major pain.

The rear springs were so worn out that the new ones raised the back almost 2 inches.

Yesterday I returned from a 3200 mile trip with the Cruiser fully loaded. Finally, the rear sag was minimized to less than 1 inch. The rear was firmly planted, the body roll was greatly reduced, and going over bumps was much quieter and smoother.

I removed the silly 21” wheels and put on a set of 18” wheels and tires that I had previously used on my 2013 LC. I’ll contact a tire shop next week and get a set of Michelin Defenders and new tire pressure sensors

Tire shop won’t provide sensors on par with what’s available from Toyota, they’ll be cheap Chinese clones.

If you want something approaching factory quality either get genuine Toyota or figure out which model of “Pacific Industry” sensors fit yours, that’s who makes them for Toyota. Available reboxed from denso, for the record.

Probably true aftermarkets aren't as good. But it feels like they are commodity these days and at least for me, doesn't really matter. I go through tires every 3-4 yrs, and new TPMS aren't a big deal or big cost. As long as the tire shop knows how to work with them and will stand behind them.

I want to clone a set this time and looks like aftermarkets are my only option.

I use aftermarket TPMS that are semi-universal, but the big reason I like them (other than price) is that they have flexible rubber valve stems - no fixed stem that can snap off. They are also much nicer when airing down (no fixed-stem/Rock Warrior ring interference). They are for sure not OEM quality, and they do read a few pounds low (but they are consistent - i.e. all 5 read low by the same %).

I’m determined to get the expected miles out of these defenders and PI are the only ones I trust to do that. But yeah depending on what people are doing, or as @bryson pointed out other needs like rubber valve seems, the clones can be a decent option.

But I do believe in the quality of most of our factory equipment and like to keep people informed of how to maintain that.

I never trust any TPMS other for the fact that I have a tire going down. Always check with a trusted gauge for actual pressure.

What size are the KO3’s? I just checked with Costco the other day on stock size, and they said, not available.
These are 275/70r18 I believe the 285/65r18 is also available

I meant trust in the sense that I won’t have to pay someone to open the tire/wheel and replace a sensor prematurely to address an orange light in my gauge cluster.

Agreed, these days the spectrum of quality is far and wide. Looks like even Toyota has huge quality problems making Engines in house let alone keeping tabs of all these part suppliers they use.

what’s the 303 for?
I use it for all external seals, trim, and anything that doesn’t take wax well. I’ve used it for many years on vehicles, boats, and camper. I swear by it’s ability to prolong seal and plastic life. I think it’s referred to as sunscreen for plastic and rubber.

And their cleaner does wonders too.

Modified my DIY low rent sleeping / storage platform after removing 3rd row seats and acquiring a fridge. The sleeping side fits the Exped Megamat long x-wide I picked up as a steal at the REI resupply section yesterday. It was returned after one inflation because they said it inflated too slow. I paid $96 after the member coupon. I couldn't believe it. I still need to mount the fridge base to the platform and then try to optimize packing all my crap back there befire July 4th trip departure.
