My advice is to never go with aftermarket hatch pressure struts.
Got some aftermarket ones at an auto zone for an RX350, and a couple months later one popped off of the little round hinge thingie, and almost nailed me in the face.

the attachment is actually a fairly high tolerance thing. A little too sloppy and it can fall off. You do not want some chinesium aftermarket crap with 100 pounds force staring you in the face every time you open the hatchback!

is that an lx or a Lc?

What stuff did you do to make it fit?
It’s a 2008 LX. I removed the mud flaps off the front and moved the front of the front fender liner forward by re drilling the plastic so the clips pull it away from the tire.
No rubbing after that. Stock ride height.

Awesome, I am on the fence between those wheels and TRD pro wheels going onto my LX. Did you measure the height of the tires, some people say they measure a tad smaller then 35"

Looks awesome! Were you able to stuff that size in as a spare tire as well?

Today put 3M SAS security film on the 2nd row passenger and cargo bay windows.
With the fronts done that completes the security film job.

You're ready 😎

WOW! Impressive. The security film isn't meant to stop bullets. The film installer actually mentioned that. Rather it's designed for a slowing down of those who might use a tire iron or hammer at say, an intersection.

Buuuuut maybe I should look into this! :grinpimp:

I've run BB sliders and armor for 4 years and wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Bolt on (existing manufacturers holes) with no drilling and have taken a thorough beating and saved my rig from me being me.
2nd this here!

Been a long week and a half... globes, lower control arms, valley plate reseal, trans fluid exchange and homebrew group 31 upgrade. Also, additional sound deadening in the trunk/rear seat area. All fluids in prep for a long road trip from CO to TX for the holidays, going to stop at Palo Duro Canyon State Park on the way down for some camping.

New battery this week from Costco after the truck was getting more and more reluctant to start on the factory Panasonic.

First oil change since installing the jowett valves. Makes it a breeze and super clean. Not one drop on the driveway and I didn't even bother to put a mat down. Stuck with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30. I'll be sending a sample to Blackstone to compare to the 0w20 results I sent previously. 6,000 miles on both samples. Will post the comparison when received.

Ready for the 2000 mile road trip for in-law Christmas.

Finally got it back from the body shop! Been over 3 months...

Beautiful rig! I'm sure you're happy to have it home. Looks like you need a second ARB recovery point for christmas.
Thanks! Yeah, I don't know why the guy I bought it from only did one ARB recovery point...

Such a good looking rig with that Rhino bumper and rock warriors. Oh how I wish there were a similar bumper for the LX.

I think the new owner recently posted it on FB as well. There is a thread with some pictures from the build.

I like the D rings up on the Rhino bumper. Anyone know where I could get them?
