They seemed really comparable but Thule had a better stock fairing and, well, those pretty molded corners and that sloped leading edge.

Nice that you an put things on top too. What type of system is that?Last week I ditched the fridge and converted my @TrekboxX to Dog mode for my two golden retrievers on our trip to New Mexico. Repurposed the kaon divider as a barrier and it worked out nicely. The dogs loved having the portable fan on the drive as well. I have the kaon side panels which would have made this a lot more "kennelish" but I think they enjoyed the better view.

Its a TrekboxX base system alpha with fridge cover and a kaon divider. The kaon divider is not supposed to be installed like this, I just needed a way to secure my battery and contain the dogs. It's normally is a divider between cargo and fridge.Nice that you an put things on top too. What type of system is that?

Put the LC up on 4 Rino Ramps for Diffs and T-case fluid change.

Ready to pull the skids. That was the hardest part of the job.
Whee doggies! That is close!

The extra six inches afforded by the Rino Ramps really helped with the process. The Amsoil squeeze bags were also a help. For the T-case, I purchased a 200ml syringe from Harbor Freight that worked like a charm. Suck the oil out of the can and squirt into the T-case. No muss, no fuss. I used one of the included eight inch hoses. I used the other hose that came with the syringe to extend the reach on the Amsoil bags for the front diff. It was a very tight fit to get the bag in position to squeeze without oil going everywhere but in the diff.
For the future, I am going to get one of the small trans lift jacks to help with the skids. Trying to man-handle 100lbs of skids and get a bolt or two in is a bit too much at my age. I wound up having to balance the skids on my floor jack to lift into place. Not very stable to say the least.

Tomorrow, to the shop for the rest of the 30,000 mile service - to maintain warranty - and then cross country to Georgia next week. Will be gone for a bit.
I used a 12v oil pump off amazon which worked so I well that I bought a second one to do my transmission fluid.
I’m so bad about not trusting shops that I pull all five of my wheels and carry them to the tire place to be balanced.Took the LC in to my dealer for the rest of the 30,000 mile service and told the service writer that I have known for over ten years to tell the shop monkeys not to adjust the tire pressure as it is set to 42 PSI as of yesterday. I also told him that I would take care of the cabin are filter as it is a K&N. Get it back and the service writer said that the cabin air filter was a K&N and needed cleaning! No S#!^, Sherlock. I done did tell you that. Fortunately they did not mess up the flap. I checked. Drive off. Check the tire pressure. They set it to 36 PSI. I told them, NO, NO, NO, NO, don't do that. Well, they did. They also told me that they put in all nine quarts of oil. I need to check and see where they squeezed in the extra 1/2 quart. Fortunately, I can get the pump and draw some out if over filled. Just a waste of Amsoil SS. I have been going to this dealer since they built the place and 99% of the time, they do what I ask. Must have a new troop of monkeys in the back. For all those who said to lock the glove box and take the key, you're right.
Next, vacuum and wash / wax and pack for the trip. Probably going to leave Wednesday morning. On the way back, if I get a hankering, might swing by Ed Martin to talk about things - lift and lights and then by Slee to talk bumpers and such. I'll see. I'm doing this all by my lonesome.
I know the feeling I have to deal with this every time. Last time I was at the dealer they messed with them, so I spent the time to school then, and lucky for me they geeked out on it with me. They helped me source a package of the OEM Rock Warrior door jam labels for the 285/70/17 at 40psi. I still have to deal with telling them not to touch the spare since I have a matching RW down there, but so far they have not messed with them.Took the LC in to my dealer for the rest of the 30,000 mile service and told the service writer that I have known for over ten years to tell the shop monkeys not to adjust the tire pressure as it is set to 42 PSI as of yesterday. Cat protection was my #1 reason for getting my skid plate system.Added a skid plate*. While I was taking off the stock shields the zerks were staring at me with accusing eyes, so I greased the driveshaft 'while I was in there'. Added some vinyl aggression, blacking out the bumper cover around the fog lights because why not.
* I know the obvious question is why this needs a skid plate with grocery getter tires, but I'd like to think I'm not crazy. I wanted to get the skid plate on to see what I've got to work with as far as protecting the cats, which is my top priority.

He would be more than happy for you to pay him to do it to your trucknever heard of dry ice cleaning but obviously it looks like it works well. Might google that one!
LOL I've used dry ice to blast brick facade' to clean them off buildings, but blasting it under the truck would make me worry about wires, hoses and sensors. He would be more than happy for you to pay him to do it to your truck![]()
