Glad to hear that you’re safe and such little damage occurred. No insurance and no DL sounds like an all too common occurrence here in Texas. I’d use the insurance to upgrade to an aftermarket bumper.
i did this on a previous 4Runner after a deer strike. on the 200, dont I need some of the bumper skin for filler pieces?

That depends on the bumper, some are full replacements up to the bottom of the lights which would eliminate the need for those panels.

I’ve had better days. I was Headed over to Central OR for a couple days of skiing and fishing. While Going through a small town on the route a ‘99 Taurus didn’t see me and pulled out in front of me and I nailed them. Going about 20 mph and no airbag deployment or injuries. driven by someone with no insurance or DL, of course. Amazed there is so little damage to the LC.

Recommendations for body shops in OR (Bend, South Willamette valley or Portland)?

Any pics of the other car?

Stepped on the scale yesterday after a trip last weekend. Only things not in the truck (for short trips) are the family and food which I think would be about 200 kgs. Plus 100 extra kgs for full multiweek overland trips, and I'd say I am tipping the scales at 3920 kgs fully loaded. 3620 kgs with me as she sits right now. Honestly, that's about where I thought she was and am pretty pleased. I have terrain tamer AHC rear springs, plus airbags, plus 10mm spacer upfront, and the front black spring rubbers going in this Fri/Sat.

New cover and good to go. Easy fix with one signal lens to replace too.

Does anyone remember the 5mph bumper mandate from the early 70's? Bash mobiles. Got pushed home in a ragamuffin '74 Chevy wagon by an equally ragged '78 Caddie at 30 to 40 mph. Bumper drafting at its finest! No discernible damage when I got it back to the barn. LOL
New car "facia" like this are good reasons to go aftermarket for a new bumper assembly.
My old Dodge truck is has has the acquired after 30 + years “Take No Prisoners Appearance Group” option.
Women and small children run at the sight of it. Parking lot King. Hit it and get Tetanus.

The 2016+ TJM replaces it fully as well.

Oh man, what a bummer! I'm an insurance agent in Canby, OR. If there is anything I can do to help, just let me know!

Not sure the aversion to cutting, you aren't going to put the OEM bumper back on. If you do, you can get a used bumper skin on flea bay for really cheap. A not-cut bumper seriously compromises on design.

I will put the OEM bumper back on 😄 And personally, I won't cut the bumper due to resale value of the vehicle. After I'm done with the vehicle - it will all go back to stock as factory original vehicles tend to bring most in terms of resale. All accessories will be sold separately.

That is excluding the potential long term collectability, which often drives that valuation difference even further. A fleabay bumper won't be original and would most likely require paint, meaning both the part and paint won't be factory original.. again, affecting the resale value.

To each, their own.

I’m on round 3 to successfully make use of the top portion of the center console. Round one was putting smaller items in there but the constant rattle quickly lead to round 2.

Round 2 was adding strips of hook velcro to the bottom of the compartment and putting loop velcro on the items. This worked great….until other items began finding their way in there. Items where adding velcro just didn’t make sense.

Round 3 led me looking through my years of collected hiking and camping gear for some type of pouch to put this stuff in. I eventually moved on until a recent day hike had me putting on a chest bag thing I sometimes carry… inside of it was this removable pouch. The entire time I’d been looking for a thing that was inside my drawer in the doggone cruiser. Anyway, some loop velcro on the interior lid of the top compartment and now I have this:

Is that a non-coolbox lid? My vehicle has a cool box, and far less usable space, where that wouldn't fit. I can barely fit a box of mints, and a multitool.

No cool box, we have a Heritage Edition. There’s a few reasons we went with the HE and no cool box was high on that list… I can see the allure of the cool box but the functionality of the larger storage space made more sense for us.
