I heard Mormon Crickets were a bit of a deal this year out in that corner. I went trough a swarm of Cicadas a few weeks back an it sounded like driving through heavy rain.
Yep, I can attest to that. One particular river I visited Wednesday had an incredibly high amount of Mormon Crickets. The rotting carcasses floating downstream kinda ruined the experience, and the hoppers from Burns to Diamond were near Biblical as mentioned.

We've been 'bugged out' trying to camp several times this year. Cicadas are on a high year making many lower elevation spots deafening. And up high there's still snow melt puddling with huge Mosquito swarms. I remember back in Feb when there was hand wringing about how dry the winter had been and now we still have wet forests in mid July. :meh:

Wow. It's hard to imagine what you guys are describing being here in the arid southwest. I won't complain again.

Highly unusual for Central Oregon. I saw snow on the pass as late as mid June. Typically it’s very dry by now. This was June 13 coming over Santiam.

Ha. I just got back from NE NM. Afternoon rain every day. It was great out there.
Afternoon rain still coming through. Pretty nice to take an outdoor shower while watching the lightning storm off in the distance.

Mad rush before LCDC, oil change, pad and rotor replacement, Slee slider install, and finally got my hands on a winch for my TT winch mount.

Used it this morning to load up the old enduro project for a little photo shoot before she goes up for sale soon.

Did you finish your skids yourself?

Did you finish your skids yourself?
Yes I installed them myself. Took about a 1.5 hours at leisurely place while taking work calls and e-mails.

LCDC update, had some down time and decided a parking lot install was in order for my fairlead. Because of course the delivery guy showed up while I was pulling out of my driveway.

The factor 55 looks worlds better IMO. Yes maybe I’m being a little vain.
