Finally got around to ordering and installing the 2 extra roof rack crossbars I've been wanting:

care to share part # and possibly your source? for installation, do you have to remove the old bars or do the new bars just slide in?
Glad to:

Cross Bar - Toyota (63409-60070)

Installation is super easy - even I can do it:
  1. Remove the rear plastic end caps by GENTLY prying the tabs* located at the inside lower part of the cap and GENTLY pulling upward.
    1. I used a J shaped hook for the prying.
  2. Loosen the nuts on the crossbars.
  3. Slide the crossbars in from the rear.
*EDIT: pull at the plastic tabs horizontally toward the center of the roof. Do NOT pry upward.

EDIT 2: Here's a video of the removal of the LC roof rack prior to the addition of a Gamiviti roof rack. At 0:48 he removes the rear plastic pieces with a paint can opener. I tried that and found a J hook tool to work better. The trick is to pull at the base of the plastic at the tab cutouts toward the center of the roof. Once the plastic is disengaged then Gently pry the plastic upward.

I got rid of my roof rack. I've had the 2013 LC for about 18 months now, and I never even considered putting something on the roof. My fuel efficiency will be better now.
What are those cross bars going for?

Those are sweet! Did you notice a stopping power difference? Or pedal feel?
Pedal feel is lighter, don't have to get on it as much to stop. Pretty big power stopping difference. You know how you learn a vehicles mannerisms and can anticipate what to do? Did a harder brake and it made me lurch forward, way more bite than the crusty rotors/duralast ceramic pads I replaced.

I doubt you will notice a change in fuel efficiency

Lots of snow/ice driving over the past week. Surprised myself with just how well it did being a bone stock Cruiser on Michelins.

There's something gratifying with how dirty it is compared to typical mom duty.

Installed 3 8020 rails and broke the plastic trim piece clips in the process to mount this roofnest.

AHC fluid change. The service itself was a breeze, but crappy cheap hand pump made life a little difficult. Obligatory nasty fluid picture.
