Replaced my water pump, thermostat, upper and lower hoses, serpentine belt, tensioner, and radiator. Aside from flushing AHC and fluid changes my first job on my 2010. Had a bad squeal and super obnoxious now that it is cold. Radiator finally cracked at the usual spot and noticed this leak on the water pump. Expensive but feels good to be completed and runs super quiet. Now just waiting for the starter to fail lol. Also found a home for my UltraGauge that I had previously used in my 80.

did you use the springs as well? Howis the ride now? Faci g the same possibility on my ‘08 with 145k. I know wisdom says if I’m in there, i should at least go to a Top Dog or OME basic kit, but budget won’t allow it right now.

There's a good chance I'll have '19 take offs up for grabs. I got them for my '08 haven't put em on and looks like I've saved up enough for a lift quicker than I thought.

Any rubbing with the 295/70s?
Yes, I do have the faintest rub on the KDSS arm at full lock. It’s not detectable from the cockpit under normal operating conditions. I have a set of 1/4-inch spacers on the way from BORA.

As far as plastic is concerned, I’ve already cropped enough from my previous setup that is isn’t an issue. There would be plenty of rubbing if moving directly into these from a stock set.

Any progress on this? Do you have vinyl experience?
I've used vinyl in the past but not a pro by any means. I postponed the dechrome to go fishing...lol. I'll post up when I get it done. Installing bud built sliders this week as well.

Budbuilt sliders installed. These things are seriously engineered. Great quality @Taco2Cruiser

Hmm. I think I have seen those before on another LC or two. ;)
Wow! What a coincidence! Think you have an original idea and look what happens. 😜

edit: I did the emblems today, but a few days ago I did 17” Icon wheels with 34” Ridge Grapplers, Tough Dog 45mm suspension, and SPC UCA’s. I also used the factory spacer and 10mm trim packers to get about 3” out of the TD’s.

Once I replace the running boards with sliders it’ll be “almost” as capable as a real Heritage Edition, but it will have a cool box, RES, and 3rd row seating, which is easily $4k more value than a Heritage Edition with better looking wheels for $15k below non-HE MSRP (my all in cost so far). I’ll call it “Heritage Edition Platinum.”

Studded winter tires are back on. Nokia Hakapelitta SUV 9s.

They are absolutely insane!! Got some nasty freezing rain here in Alaska lately and they perform flawlessly

Really more like “what have I done to my 200 series in the last month or so” >.<
Finally got the suspension kit that had been sitting in my garage for over a month already installed. I went the no muss, no fuss route, with OME Nitrocharger sport shocks, 2702 coils in the front, 2722 in the rear. Thanks @sleeoffroad!
Replaced my thermostat as it was stuck open. Noticed it as it’s starting to get cold here in the Ozarks, and I had a couple of mornings where the temp gauge was a little lazy and the truck didn’t warm up quite as fast as normal....all good now.
Replaced all headlights / fog lights with Hikari Eye of Megadoom or whatever LED’s, overall I’m pretty pleased with the performance for the price. We’ll see how they are longevity wise.
Was due for fluids at 180k ( rolled over 175k this week), so I figured I might as well get it done before winter sets in.
So, transmission, front and rear diffs, transfer case, brakes and power steering checked off the list.
I think that’s it, us old guys forget stuff.....like updating this thread
edit: Oh and I had the seatbelt recall taken care of at my local dealer....no drama whatsoever. Big thumbs up.View attachment 2135075

I see a trend. See what @dmc started! Did you paint your roof rails black?

Sounds like we were on the same timeline. But pics or it didn’t happen.

Your truck looks great, before and after. 17“ wheels and Ridge Grapplers are up next, after my current tires are done. Thinking about Evo Corse Dakar’s but my wallet keeps frowning about that choice...

Ditto on looking great, thanks. I’m thrilled with this setup. Love the look of the Icons and played around a bit today with the adjustable tough dogs. I think their softest setting on aired down tires will be close enough to the Kings I’m coming from for me. And the ability to firm things up on road is killer.
