Finally removed those last row rattle traps...I mean seats.

...and those folks over at Slee slapped some stuff on the back and sides.

Uh oh! I hereby request to the Hail Gods that you don't have another hail storm like that next week...or during our Break trip!!

-Can you imagine: FORTY 200's show up in Golden at Slee...and ALL get smashed with hail??

Google it, it was gnarly. I had no idea until I tried to get a chip and tiny spider legs that I got on my drive out fixed while I was there.

Once you fill those drawers, and discover the larger, flat floor combine with the 2nd row folded down (but not forward)...you'll wonder how you ever got along WITHOUT drawers! :)

I hope so. I carry so much junk on a day to day basis that it can't not help. Plus it's lockable.

I just had my windshield replaced Wednesday. Geico recommended Safelite so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's going to get cracked again due to s***ty roads here anyways. Decent quality glass. Plus, it was only $50 deductible.
I go through safelite but just request oem glass. Only $100 through my insurance.

Just did this. Courtesy of 225 in Denver. :bang::bang::bang:

Two questions, any recommendations to source OEM glass. And any recommended installers in Denver metro?

I was just at a body shop in Denver, I asked the very same question as I have a very similar crack as yours. They outsource windshield replacements to a company that was recently acquired by or merged with Brakes Plus (weird).

Windshield Replacement | Windshield Repair | Brakes Plus Auto Glass

The body shop does quality work so I trust their opinion, FWIW.

Working on the drawer install now. It becomes apparent very quickly that they need someone to rewrite the instructions. :)

Man that is so true! It was the same way when I installed my first set of drawers in my 100 series about 10 or 11 years ago. That was before ARB on and the drawer company, and amazingly they have never improved the instructions…

I tried sanding out a couple little scratches today. I hit it with a 2000 grit wet paper, and I guess went too far into the clear just below the scratch. The paint started to lighten up a bit in a dime sized spot, so I stopped there. My sanding block technique could use some work.

I polished it out with 3M Perfect-It 3000 then 3M Finesse-It. Kinda bummed now. There's still a little scratch but I'm afraid to go any further. She'll eventually got some trail pinstripes but I wanted to get it all polished and waxed while the paint is still in great shape.

Have they provided you with Toyota stamped glass? The "OEM" glass on my 100 is definitely wavy and not stamped Toyota.

Yes it has Toyota branding on it. They try to sell you the off brand first saying it's just as good as oem. Which it may be but no cost difference through my insurance so I get oem.

How deep were the scratches? The pinstripes I buffed out were pretty deep but a decent scratch compound and an orange pad can do magic.

EXCELLENT NEWS! You have a location that you've had good experiences with?

I've used the one in Fort Collins twice now. They have to order it which takes about 10 days to get it in.

Deep enough that I didnt feel like compound would be enough. What you see in the second picture is after sanding, there's still some scratch showing above the light spot.

Edit to add: I just read your build thread, TonyP. Those were some pretty serious pinstripes, and you say those buffed out? Nice! I have one more deep scratch near the roof line that I'll need to sand out, but plan on just polishing the rest of the vehicle.

It took longer than I would have liked but I had to stop and do work I get paid for in the middle.

Are you able to store items under the "outside" panels. There appears to be a latch on the top deck, to the left and right of the drawers. Does that open so you can use that space and easily access it?

Yes for both sides. But note there is no interior compartment under there. What's under there is your truck floor & side panel, and the exterior side of the drawers.

I store a TON of stuff in my side panels. Prybar, one-handed sledge, small shovel, jumper-cables & more on one side.

On the driver side-panel, I installed a large, 1500 watt sine-wave inverter. Also store several tools, and plug in several battery chargers in there. Super handy. One of these days I'm gonna do a write up of all the stuff I keep in my drawers. -A rather staggering amount, actually!

Sanding is usually last resort. I didn't take a ton of time, maybe 30mins per side but they mostly all came out completely except that super deep one. You can only see it at certain angles though. If I had a slightly more dedicated scratch compound (the Wolfgang 3.0 is more of a hybrid swirl/polish compound) and stronger pad I could have gotten it out completely. But I ran out of compound and pads sooo you gotta piss with the cock you've got. It looks good enough for now.

Did some electrical work this weekend. Ran constant power to the rear for the ARB fridge and some Blue Sea 12v outlets. Up front mounted the Blue sea USB charging port and the switch for the Blue Sea ML-ACR. Still messing with the dual battery setup. Also got the Switch Pro mounted and cables run.
