You can take the rotors off and turn them on a lathe which makes them true to the machine and works well but you can also have the rotors turned or machined while they are still installed on the car. This way the rotor is spinning on the hub and trues up the rotor to your vehicle vs. a static machine. A lot of places have on car lathes now which make this easier and more effective. I started doing this on the 80's and 100's since getting the rotor off meant taking the whole hub apart. Am quite happy the 200 rotor replacements are so much easier and wont take hours to so when the time comes.

Wow, I didn't know they could do this...learn something new (and cool) everyday!

Rotors and pads on the 200 are a 60-90 minute job for all 4 corners!
The 100 was a better part of a day and while you were there you'd better service those hubs. I do not miss that job!

Changed the rear brake pads and fixed the loose side view mirrors with the Toyota TSB parts. Took about an hour.

So noticed this weekend at about 80 the passenger side mirror seems to be a bit loose. Was going to just open and tighten but am wondering are the replacement bolts from the TSB different in some way from the original?

I popped the trim piece and tightened the torx screws. No more rattle. Don't know if this is temporary however.

Same exact bolts but with an added plain washer and locking washer on each one. Each side cost $10 in parts. I'm glad I bought the replacement bolts as I nearly stripped out a couple while removing them.

Thanks for confirming, will add some lock washers for now.

I am getting front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, skid plates and an Aux (kind of) fuel tank fab'd :moon: (very excited)

Kidding aside, here is a teaser which will be added to my build thread when I get there.

40s reminded me of project my buddy's shop is working on for a client of his.

This was when I stopped by last week.

how it started a while back when they were stretching it.

Looks like something straight outta Diesel Brothers!

I thought you decided 37's rubbed too much and where going back to 35's?

After removing the spacers, I realized that the rubbing was much less than I had first thought. Rubbing only occurred close to lock, so the only time I was rubbing on the frame was getting in and out of a parking spot. I am taking a gamble with the Toyos, because from my research, it looks like they may fit better than the 37" Goodyear MTRs.

The good thing is, is that my tire guy says that if they don't fit either, he can just order me a set of 35s at no extra cost.

that's one helluva deal

Well, I'll have to give the 37s back. :(
