Bought one! 08 LX570. Pics to follow along with a to-do list. Happy to be back in a Cruiser (even if it has a Lexus badge)

Repainted my wheels. Took off the worn PlastiDip and went with a basecoat of Duplicolor Black Engine Enamel followed by 3 topcoats of Duplicolor Bronze Wheel Enamel. Looks much better than before! $12 in paint. I'm happy.

P.S. It is possible to remove the beauty ring and re-install the beauty ring while a tire with a rim protector edge is mounted. It is REALLY REALLY HARD THOUGH.

Was wondering were i can findthe same sort of protective bumper to front quarter panel to rock slider package as you have. I live in Tucson AZ in the United States.

I get up extremely early. As a matter of fact, I'm typing this message at 4:43 a.m., and I've been up for nearly an hour. Usually go to bed around 8:30-9:00.

Did rotors and pads today in my front yard, super easy job!

Finally bought a 200! I've owned an 80, two 100's (still have one), and now this 200. What a fantastic machine! This one is a 2011 with 35k on the clock. White. Bone stock. Got it yesterday and have already put 300 miles on it.

Yesterday I cleaned the throttle body, I had a feeling I've been forgetting something during my services. Shocked it wasn't so dirty considering I haven't cleaned it the past 75,000 kms

I bought a 2013 last week. 62k miles, clean inside and out. Love it! Huge difference in ride and comfort from the '98 I owned about 7 years ago. The bfg's went on immediately- I am a big believer in these tires and have owned them on all my vehicles. This is my first set with the new version of the all terrains... looks like a mud tire from the side. I was tempted to get the white letters facing out but no regrets. I removed the front mud flaps and plan on taking a dremel+sander to the rear flaps this afternoon. I don't want a huge gap in the wheel well that removing the entire rear flap creates. This forum has been a great learning tool.

No photos to post - I cleaned the heck out of my KDSS unit
removed the shroud - soaked the shroud bolts to remove grime and what not
wire wheeled the entire KDSS cast metal housing
Backed the hex screws out multiple times and lubed with anti-seize
degreased the whole shebang and painted over it with a black rust inhibitor paint
I feel like my truck loves me
@MScruiser was on stand by text with my harbor freight shopping list

Just out of curiosity, what paint did you use? You all know I'm anal about protecting the chassis with paint.

I use semi matte Rutoleum Black with a rust protector. Time will tell how well it works

Out with the old...in with the new!

Old one is the original Panisonic with a 11/10 build date. It still worked but I had a low battery event after having the doors open for a while this weekend. Still charged up but it was time. Went with the MTP 27-F.

Looks great! What size tire did you go with?

New water pump, rotors were all resurfaced on the vehicle and swapped chrome wheels for some tundra take offs. Lexus center caps snapped in with a little convincing. Much happier with the look now. Still need to figure what AT tires to go with to replace the ones it came with.

I just replaced the original Panasonic battery on my 2008 a few months ago. Still worked, but was vulnerable. Replaced it with the much larger type 31 with Slee's new battery tray...and wow. You can truly hear the starter FLYING on start-up by comparison. Probably needed a new battery more than I realized...but to get 8 years out of a factory battery? Pretty impressive.

I'm curious what you mean by "resurfaced vehicle." What did you do?
