Vadar!
And it's going on a white truck so Stormtrooper look!

Personally, I really like the way they look from the factory. I bought my RW used, and the red of the center cap was basically worn away. But... I think I like this better than the red anyway. Painting or powder coating seems (to me) like it would look worse when scuffed up on the trail...so I'm happy stock.

I like the factory look too but I also like to mess with things and make them "better." No one mistakes this for a Highlander anymore.
Please don't ask me how many shocks I've tried!!!!!

About the Highlander thing...
Ya... I was amazed at how much the character of the car vs truck look changed just by adding RW & tires.
Still, to me...it won't truly be my Cruiser until it's fully built with bumpers, sliders, lift, winch, etc. ;)

Here is another option for center cap. But not sure if I really dig it.

Haha. These caps run for more than $20 a pop.

I don't think they go with the wheels.
The stock TRD center caps are only $7 each.

Public service announcement.
Check your KDSS valve often for corrosion.
This part is raw iron from the factory. Mine was frozen shut and I was replaced under warranty. Almost $2500.
I suggest you remove the cover, fire brush it and back off the set screws 3 turns and coat liberally with anti seize or your favorite lube.
here is what it looked like a year after being replaced and again after I tended to it today.

I do this annually and here is what it looked like after a year and again after I tended to it today.

I have a solution.

Move.

10 more years and I'm out of here

Pre lift and wheels I had a bunch of teenagers say, "that's a badass highlander"

Mistaken for highlander ? Are these people @#$%ing blind ?

It's like being mistaken for a woman

Actually, a couple of models ago...the highlander really did look a lot like a miniature Land Cruiser from the rear.... It's horrifying...

Greased my drive shafts just for fun.

There's also a zerks fitting on the rear of my icon trailing arms but it's impossible to reach....anyone ever tackled that? How?
