I got some Cooper Discoverer ATPs mounted on Tundra Rock Warrior wheels. About to go mount them on the truck right now. Here is a teaser pic of the tire wheel combo i found on the web, same size and everything i have.

Also, if you are wanting to run this wheel and don't want to pay 190 or so for the TRD lugs, Gorilla lugs will work. I called up their technician and spoke to him about it and he gave me this part number. Its for M14x15, black, conical, spline drive lug nuts.
For 20 of them, plus the lug key #26143BC
For 24 of them, plus the lug key #26144BC (for if you have a swing out carrier, then have 1 extra left over)
I found them on Amazon for around 65 shipped.

Will these black lugs work for stock 100 series wheels? I've been looking for black lugs for a while!

No, they won't work on standard 100 wheels. Different type of lug seat.

I'm running gorilla lock nuts on stock wheels and they work perfectly.

Edit: mine are not black though, so not sure if its a different model.

Correct, that part number is for a conical, spline drive type of lug nut that doesn't work with the factory 16"s or 18". They require a "mag/washer" type of lug nut. That type is required for the Rock Warrior wheels due to the size of the opening for the lugs.

I'm running gorilla lock nuts on stock wheels and they work perfectly.

Edit: mine are not black though, so not sure if its a different model.

I had thought that no aftermarket company made a "mag/washer" style lug nut, i just glanced through their online catalog and found some from gorilla, but they are only available in chrome plating.

part #73147TXXB-20 for 20 of them.

Wheels and tires installed.

It's been an exciting 3-4 weeks for the 'ole LC.
New shoes, a new rear end, and a little more lift.

Started by adding the Slee Rear Bumper. No swing outs for now.

image-3183381242.jpg

Added 30mm spacers to go with 865s that were already on.

Swapped out my BFG AT/KO II (D rated 285/75/16) for the Toyo Open Country AT 2 (295/75/16 E rated). I'm kind of stunned at the improvement in ride quality. We'll see if they hold up to the 50k guarantee. The KOs were very durable (60k with plenty of life).

Wit the extra weight and new rubber, she drives great and smells good. The bumper really helped the suspension calm down. The 10 ply Toyos handle the "inconsistencies" of local roads very well.

Probably need to add that Blackwater did most of the work, Thanks for the help !

Layonnn, looks great. When I ran those wheels, I thought it would be a good idea to get a 2nd spline drive socket. If you lose or break (i.e. impact gun) that one tool out on the trail, you'd be screwed.

I installed the morimoto elite hid system from TRS. 4300k 35W. The $150 for quality ballasts, bulbs, and wiring was well worth it.

No projector retrofit? Just PNP? Your going to blind people. I'm not the "light nazi" but putting HID"s into reflector headlights isn't right. Do it right and get some projectors and retrofit your lights.

Late post. Picked up this 04' LX with 124k on the ticker two weeks ago for the wife at a local dealer. Figured that we'll be keeping it for awhile so I picked up some reading material to keep it in check from eBay for $100.

Had a short on my lights somewhere after going through a heavy rainstorm, my beam adjustment doesn't seem to be working so I went in to take a look

image-2853932016.jpg

Found a lot of mud. IH8MUD

image-3889080186.jpg

We washed everything we could and checked all the connections, they seemed ok

image-3821829613.jpg

Put it all back together and everything worked again... Must have been dirt or a loose connection somewhere, had to solder a wire on bumper spots, otherwise it was all good.

Edit - found out I had a harbor 9k winch, by warn, thought it was OEM Toyota... Well it was to me, I even found all the instructions after cleaning all the mud off :)

Replaced clips on top of firewall for the rubber seal under rear of hood.

Replaced all the rusty bolts on my Slee Skid Plates

Tore apart my winch only to find all insides rusted due to seal failure on freespool lever. So I replaced both gaskets and sealed both assembly's with silicone. The winch works perfectly, just no freespool, got to winch out for line.

Installed new scews on handles of drawer system

Installed my new Hi-Lift jack on Slee rear bumper

Steam cleaned spilled beer and filth off interior carpets

Got front end alignment yesterday after installing new steering rack and CV shafts.

Got tires balanced and rotated, HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!

Replacing swaybar end links and bushings today.

Installed new rear hatch lift struts from autopartsbylou.com. 1/5th the price of OEM and they work great. Took only 5 minutes to change them out.

Scraped all 48 stickers off my two rear windows, now it looks like a responsible adult owns it.:)

Following recommendations and instructions found here (many thanks to all!), finished installing a second battery and associated hardware. Went with:

-DieHard Platinum group 34
-Slee tray with longer brackets from the local auto parts store
-Blue Sea 7622 ACR
-Cables (4 AWG welding cable) from GenuineDealz
-200 amp ANL fuses

Cables ready to install:

Bolted the ACR to the Slee tray. It fit, but barely.

Checked my fluid levels, which for a wrench-tard like myself is a big deal!

Coolant - reservoir almost empty (wtf?!)- took care of that

AHC - 2.5 ticks below low level at normal height - uh oh - ordered 2 cans of fluid - won't have time to bleed the system anytime soon, but I guess just top off for now?

Brake fluid - too full (wtf?! again) - looks like 25% of the max-min range higher than max - should i empty it some?

Am definitely enjoying the xenondepot HID low beams for the last couple of weeks though - lighting improvement is like night and day

Bought one!!!;)

Boooooo!

You might want to check the owner's manual, but I remember that you need to pump the brake pedal a certain amount before checking the fluid level.

thanks no-pistons, I'll check that - I guess that is common for vehicles with ABS

wow - several people from san diego just on this page of the thread - I just moved from there to austin. hope all is well over there on the coast

I believe if you look closely on the brake fluid reservoir it says how many times to pump before checking. It's written so someone from a quick lube shop can't read it.

Today I learned that an ARB Pilbara rooftop tent will fit in the back off a 100. I just picked one up at Iron Pig Offroad.
