Drove to work today since it was raining in the morning (usually bicycle) drove up aspen mountain and out richmond ridge for giggles. Just waiting til the 21st to take it to Slee for 2.5 medium, 285/75 Terra Grapplers and sliders(maybe) The process is about to begin. I'm hooked. I'm pumped. Almost ready to start taking some more difficult trips. CO folks, i'm IN!

took out: fishing poles, tackle bag, net, bait trap, anchor, vests, etc for my canoe and chasing redfish...

added: rubber boots, hunting gear, tree stand, rope, plastic bags...deer season opens 15 Aug...so took 15-17 Aug off to be in woods with my longbow chasing a whitetail in velvet in early part of season opener. :)

AWESOME first post. Little advise. Wheel it some and determine what you want to do with it then plan out your mods to get you there. Don't get me wrong im all about a lift, tires, all the the good stuff....but unless you have a money tree in the back yard.....(which I dont) you might regret some mods if you just slap them on. Not to mention at Slee you will want EVERYTHING they have!!!

This last Saturday and Sunday: 2" body lift. :D
Will post a build shortly...

Welcome! Try us, you'll like us. http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/
I'll play too.....

I'm right in the middle of.....
Rewiring all the connections to my aux battery plus aux light switch....correctly and cleanly
Installing an ARB fridge with wiring loom (plus adding a second connector up front when I need the rear space but not the front space)
RR "T" fittings for heater hoses. Ugh!
Glancing the street for the UPS guy to drop off my RADFLO 2.5"' shocks! Should be today.

Two weeks ago I had a new tranny installed, this week is oil change, clean TB & air filter, grease drive shaft, etc...

what happened to the tranny? How do you like the Ironman gear? I just ordered their 2 inch kit from Metaltech....I spent a week freaking out over IM verse OME and whether to do the diff drop or not.

Took it off road for the first time. Performed amazingly well on the ultra narrow jeep trails...only left with a couple of dents in the rear passenger door, not too pleased, but it has some character now. Washed it and filled it up.

Look at his signature, he has a 2000 model year. The 2000 model years are experiencing a higher than normal early transmission failure. Lots of info posted here, do some searches if you are curious. With that said, your 1999 model year is perfectly safe.

Those IM front torsion bars are thick, you better load up that front end with some extra weight first! You can always set them aside and install just the rear springs for now. That's exactly what I did for the past two years with my OME bars.

As for diff drop, well you are going to find 12 people who says "do it!" and 12 people who say "don't waste the money!". I spent the money and installed a Slee diff drop at the same time as lifting my LC. Cheap peace of mind in my book.
