Used anthracite plastic dip to do my wheels. They are LC200 wheels so the only center cap with the Lexus logo I could find that would fit with the front hub was that color. Will see how I like it. Am trying to stay close to OEM looking but really only like OEM parts. It is a daily driver.
I don't know how durable it will be utilized on wheels but I think they look amazing.
I agree! I'm just glad it was only four out of twelve, and not all twelve.
The sign of a well maintained 2UZ. And dry as a bone.
Changed the valve cover gaskets, spark plug tube gaskets, half moons and changed all the vacuum/ air hoses.
Also made a change to my wolfbox set up. After a week of driving, I felt like it would be better as addition instead of replacing the original rear view mirror, so put it onto my Rubi-Grid for now with a mount made out of ASA and plywood.

Man, are you me? I'm waiting on the "cmon down and get it" call from the shop after a new steering rack and a bunch of related front end/ suspension work, and this list, pretty much exactly, is my next set of stuff. Just... the next items on the never-ending old-truck maintenance list. The good news is that once that second list, same as yours, is done it should be up to date for quite some time. I hope.

Drove it a lot this week. 4 fillups Got the best mileage ever in the 12 years I've owned it. 21.2 mpg. All highway at 55mph. The computer range is off in this pic though as it was after fillup. I finally stopped for gas at 421.9 miles after fill up. Apparently just before the low fuel light...

I am so happy I did mine.
Got the climate buttons done, definitely not a difficult job just took me a while to learn how to (de)solder. Super happy with the results. No more smashing buttons!
Also got the license plate relocated and ran the wiring for the back up cam. Nice to check a couple comfort based things!

Had a phone call from the garage who are doing my sill repair today asking if I can pop over... Oh bugger.
Well the rear arch to behind the rear bumper they found some pop rivets and went for an exploration. They dug up what looks like the back of a tailboard on a truck and a load of fibreglass
On a positive note, the arches are intact and looks much better without the kutsnakes on there. Think I'll get some front wings ordered when the pain of this is a distant memory.

For others thinking about doing the timing belt and water pump (I did about a year ago) how much did you pay for parts at Rock Auto? I ordered through Amazon - all Toyota and Denso parts and it was around $260 as I recall. I’m interested in finding how competitive each se outlets are,
If it's got to be done then so be it, I'm not surprised to find another bodge from the PO to be honest, it's just the way it was looked after. Hopefully when I'm done with it, I'll get some trouble free years..
