What was involved with wiring up the elockers to that oem switch?
New shoes for my daily:
Fifteen52 Turbomac HD Classics in carbon grey (matches the two-tone lower trim pretty well), 17x8.5in with 0 offset.
Tires are Firestone Destination X/Ts in 285/70 (about a 32.8” diameter).
Next up is an AHC fluid change, pressure check, and ride height sensor lift. All stock otherwise (besides a muffler delete), just hit 302k miles.

I drove a rental Jeep with Firestone’s on and they were just awful with only 25k miles. I hope you have a better experience.
A buddy of mine had them on his V8 4runner and loved them, and I’ve driven on some KO2s and Goodyear wranglers that kinda sucked. So far these are quiet and comfortable, but I’ll post an update once I really live with them. Wildpeaks would’ve been my other choice
Did the ignition coils while waiting for mechanic to fix short circuit/solder the pinched wires; hopefully Monday he gets to it. Good thing I did; 6/8 were severely cracked lol. And now just wait around for him to get to it, not a whole lot I can do right now. Getting sick of this thing sitting here lol.

Only 6 more years of sanding and I should be finished with the midrange...I also wrapped up my first round of flogging...sorry, flocking. It is a dusty process but the fibers do not stick to anything unless it has glue on it, easy clean up. Pending what color and fiber length, you can come close to matching the pillars with that fine micro-suede feel to it. You can see how it is done, skip to 8:05 if you want to see the result instead of watching the whole process.
Trusty ole crusty Blue got a 300k front end refresh. New 555 UCA, Rebuilt OE UCA w/ 555, new 555 TREs, new 555 LBJs, new Febest cam bolts, new OE drive flanges, new Koyo bearings, and new cone washers, snap rings, and hub bits. I’ve been squirreling away parts for a few months in preparation and planning around my 6 month old daughter’s super fun sleep schedule. Anyway, watch your eyes, she’s flaky.
Finally got around to debadging the rear of my LX..... and dammit, looks like the Blue Vapor Metallic is just too far gone.

I know how to solder I'm just scared of messing up this truck anymore lol. Plus we don't have the tools in the garage.
I have been using these types of heat shrink solder connectors for projects recently, and like working with them a whole lot more than a regular soldering iron and heat shrink. Also gives a good excuse for picking up a cheap heat gun - something you’ll use more than you’d expect once you have one.

Melt one on a piece of scrap, then cut it in half, and you sill see how very little of the sauter actually penetrates the wire.

Still in absolute factory fresh condition at 15k miles, so got a full coat of black Fluid Film on the underside.

question. Do you go and do any prep like cleaning prior to application?
*Added a TOYOTA grille from Trail Runner Customs. I moved the 9 inch lights out as far as I could so I can see more of the grille
*Had custom silver TRD Center cap stickers made.
*I'm a roof basket fan for our trips. We leave the Cruiser in a couple of different airport storage units out towards Moab / CO and fly out for trips. Most of them have 7-foot tall doors and I got sick of taking the roof basket on and off with the annoying little hat brackets and 8 threaded knobs. Took 15 minutes. I tried Thule quick clamps designed for their cargo boxes and they work perfectly. Welded up some platforms for them to sit on to mimic how they are used on Thule cargo boxes so they distribute the weight better and this thing is rock solid up there on the factory crossbars. Takes under 90-seconds now and I leave the gear attached to the basket when I remove it. Front locker going on in 2 weeks. Have a good week!

Well, I made it home no dramas.
Took the car to my mechanic this morning.
Battery is at 53% and a fail.
Alternator passed all tests.
Didn't charge me (lol.... charge... battery....)
I'm picking up a new battery tomorrow. Just made a shortlist, all similar price - Bosch v Amaron v Yuasa
He also replaced my spotties. Had some older IPF rectangular lights which were full of dust and rusting through. I found a local guy selling a pair of IPX 800XS for $25 so they're on now and I'm eagerly awaiting 2200 so I can drive home down some dark lanes to test them out.
That little bitty blue spec, that is the pillar pod. Second time using it is every bit as messy as the first time. Even with taking necessary precautions, I still walked away looking like a coal miner. However, the result is acceptable, even after only 1 coat of this stuff. 98% is covered, the rest looks like Ehren from Terror Taxi in Jackass, patches are quite visible due to me not applying enough material.
Seeing STEDI being deployed always brings a smile to my face.
